Zac Efron is nothing but supportive of his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens’ pregnancy with her husband, Cole Tucker.
When asked how he thinks Hudgens will be as a mother, Efron gushed to Access Hollywood on Thursday that she will be “the best mom ever.”
He felt the same way about the pair’s “High School Musical” co-star Ashley Tisdale, who is expecting her second child with her husband, Christopher French.

“We’re gonna have some fun family reunions coming up,” Efron, 36, made sure to add.
Efron and Hudgens — who debuted her baby bump while hosting the 2024 Oscars red carpet in March — fell in love while filming the 2006 Disney Channel movie.
“We created a bond right from the start. We were like, ‘We’re doing this. It’s us or nothing,'” Hudgens, 35, shared in August 2019.
After attending several events together, the duo confirmed their romance via her March 2007 music video for “Say Ok,” in which Efron played her love interest.
They went on to sport matching rings and fawn over each other in interviews, with the actor referring to Hudgens as a “very sexy woman” and the actress describing Efron a “good kisser.”
However, the two broke up in December 2010.
“We’re still friends. Who knows what the future will bring. We’re figuring things out,” Hudgens said at the time, elaborating the following March, “Long-distance relationships are hard no matter what. When you don’t have face-to-face time, it’s just different. Having an iPhone helped, but it just wasn’t the same.”
By April 2014, however, Efron said he and his former flame were no longer in touch. There did not appear to be bad blood at the time, as he called her “a really interesting, sweet person.”
Meanwhile, Hudgens echoed those sentiments in March 2017, saying she “completely lost contact” with her once-beau.
Over the years, she has expressed gratitude for her relationship with the “Iron Claw” star.
Hudgens went on to date Josh Hutcherson, Austin Butler and Kyle Kuzma before settling down with Tucker.
The “Spring Breakers” star and the baseball player, 27, confirmed their romance in February 2021 and revealed their engagement two years later.
They tied the knot in December 2023.
Efron, for his part, moved on with Lily Collins, Michelle Rodriguez, Sami Miró, Alexandra Daddario, Rebecca Ferguson, Sarah Bro, Halston Sage and Vanessa Valladares.
He seems to be single these days.
