Gayle King is sending a message with her wardrobe.
On Wednesday, the “CBS Mornings” co-host sported a black-and-white T-shirt, sending a message that her BFF, Oprah Winfrey, was OK after going to the emergency room for the stomach flu.
“OPRAH is FINE! Thank you for asking,” read the front of King’s shirt, while the back read, “She appreciates your concern!”
King, 69, wrote in the caption that she wore the shirt at work because “10 people” in the office asked her the “same question.”
Earlier this week, the “Note to Self” author revealed that Winfrey, 70, was unable to appear on her pal’s CBS show this week because she caught a violent stomach bug.
“She had some kind of stomach thing — stomach flu — stuff was coming out of both ends,” King explained on Tuesday. “I won’t get too graphic. Needless to say, she ended up in the hospital, dehydration, had to get an IV, it was a very serious thing.”

The news anchor added that the “Color Purple” star was trying to “rally” but ultimately couldn’t make it to the show.
A spokesperson for Winfrey told Pvnew that the media mogul was “recovering following a stomach flu and received an IV due to dehydration at the recommendation of her doctor.
“She is resting and feeling better every day.”
After King’s revelation about her bestie made headlines, she took to Instagram to clarify that the billionaire was not hospitalized.
“She was sidelined with a stomach virus that caused such dehydration that she went to the hospital to get an IV drip,” she wrote alongside a video of her talking to Winfrey via FaceTime.
“I thought I made that clear but next thing I know I’m surprised to see headlines that scream ‘Oprah’s hospitalized!’ (She was NOT!) And I’m bombarded with calls asking if Oprah is okay. The answer is yes! And now let’s go straight to the source.”
In December 2023, Winfrey revealed that she had lost 40 pounds using a weight-loss medication.
In May, the “Beloved” star apologized for being a “major contributor” to “diet culture” over the past 25 years.
“I’ve been a major contributor to it. I cannot tell you how many weight-loss shows and makeovers I have done, and they have been a staple since I’ve been working in television,” she admitted during a three-hour live WeightWatchers special.
