Luann de Lesseps’ prom night was straight out of a teen movie.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum shared that she lost her virginity the night of her high school dance when she was 18.
“I calculated it. We had sex in the car, which is so prom. Jim was older than me, but he was very handsome and sweet. I thought he was the perfect guy to lose my virginity to because he was good-natured. So that was a great experience, actually. Then it just went on from there: the love affair with boys,” she told Bustle in an interview published Wednesday.

De Lesseps, 59, described herself as a “late bloomer,” noting that she “didn’t feel confident” as a teen.
“I was taller than all the boys. I remember a boy actually saying, ‘It’s too bad you’re so tall, because you have such a pretty face.’ So I didn’t really have a boyfriend or have sex until I was 18 years old,” she said.
These days, the “Luann & Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake” star’s self-confidence is through the roof, and she never shies away from talking about her love life on reality TV.
De Lesseps told Bustle that she no longer hangs out at “RHONY” hotspot the Regency, instead meeting men “through other friends, dinner parties, at bars” — and even chain stores.
“The home goods section of Bed Bath & Beyond is a good hang. Lots of guys buying toasters and s–t because they’re getting divorced. Also, if you can get invited to an embassy party, that’s always good because there are a lot of men there, and they’re foreigners,” she said.
In addition to meeting divorcées, the former “Housewife” is still giving younger men a chance, teasing that she is living her “best cougar life right now.”
“I’m just dating and having fun, and I’m traveling a lot with the cabaret show,” she said.
Most recently, de Lesseps was seen getting lunch with Mary-Kate Olsen’s ex-husband, Olivier Sarkozy, in March, but she said she has “not” seen him since then.
Prior to that, the “Money Can’t Buy You Class” singer found herself in a love triangle with Danielle Olivera and Joe Bradley after she and the “Southern Hospitality” star got flirty on “Watch What Happens Live” while he was romantically involved with the “Summer House” star.
Olivera, 35, told Pvnew that she later tracked 28-year-old Bradley’s phone and saw he was at de Lesseps’ Upper East Side apartment. However, the pair have stayed tight-lipped on what exactly went down.
