Diane von Furstenberg admits she once thought about having a “three-way” with Mick Jagger and David Bowie.
The famous fashion designer recalled the intimate conversation in her new documentary, “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge,” confessing that she “considered” the offer.
“Well this is something I can tell my grandchildren about,” she said in the doc, per the Hollywood Reporter.

She sat on the offer for awhile before deciding that she “just can’t” do that, so she told them that she “love[d] them very much,” but it wasn’t going to happen.
Von Furstenberg spoke about other past romps in the documentary, specifically bringing up a story about how she was “with Warren Beatty and Ryan O’Neal” on the same weekend.
“I was having a man’s life in a woman’s body,” she said, per THR.
Jagger has yet to publicly respond to von Furstenberg’s story. His rep did not immediately return Pvnew’s request for comment. Bowie died from liver cancer in January 2016. He was 69.
Von Furstenberg, now 77, has been married to media mogul Barry Diller since 2001. Prior to that, she was married to Prince Egon von Furstenberg from 1969 to 1972.
According to THR, Diller also spoke in the documentary, admitting that he and the fashion guru embraced the freedom of the 70s in their early stages of dating. It was a time where “everyone slept with everyone” and had “nonexclusive lovers for several years,” he reportedly said.
Von Furstenberg referred to Diller as her soulmate in the doc, explaining, “First he was my lover, then my friend. Barry is the consistent love in my life.”
The Diane von Furstenberg founder also used the documentary to discuss her childhood, her divorce and creating the iconic wrap dress.
She told Pvnew at the movie’s Tribeca Film Festival premiere that the film’s directors, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Trish Dalton, “convinced” her to do the documentary after they had originally planned on doing one about “badass women.”
When asked about what gave her “the drive” to succeed in fashion, she told us it was “originally to become in charge.” She also emphasized how important it is for her to “be a good person” and think of “kindness as a currency.”
“Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge’” premieres June 25 on Hulu.
