Prince William was reportedly spotted at a pub with Kate Middleton’s mom, Carole Middleton, over the weekend.
“I’m told he popped into a pub in North Norfolk at the weekend with his mother-in-law, who is said to have been staying with the Prince and Princess of Wales for Easter,” Daily Mail columnist Richard Eden reported Wednesday.
Insiders told Eden that the duo’s outing was “very low-key, with no great fanfare” as they “walked in and through the pub.”
“There was no sign of Catherine, who is being treated for an undisclosed form of cancer,” he added.

Kate Middleton has 'turned a corner' with cancer treatment: family friend
According to Eden, Carole, 69, and her husband, Michael Middleton, 74, have been staying with their daughter and William, 41, at their Anmer Hall estate in Norfolk since Easter as the Princess of Wales, 42, undergoes a round of chemotherapy
They are likely helping look after the royal’s three kids Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, as Carole is doing “all she can” to prevent her daughter from “stressing,” per Us Weekly.
Aside from helping Kate — who revealed her diagnosis last month — Carole is reportedly also trying to “shield” the mom of three from her money issues.
Carole and Michael allegedly owe over $329,000 in debt that they’ve been unable to pay off since their business, The Party Pieces Company, went into administration last year, the Times UK reported on April 4.
Per the outlet, the couple was originally more than $3.16 million in debt when their business collapsed in June 2023.
“Party Pieces has collapsed and it’s been devastating for the family, but Carole will be most concerned about Kate’s well-being right now,” royal commentator Afua Hagan told Us Weekly last week.
An insider echoed Hagan’s sentiments, adding, “Carole is desperately trying to keep Catherine fully focused on her recovery.”
“Catherine and her parents are very close and they always check in with each other, but talk about the business is off limits as she needs to focus on her health,” the source added, per the outlet.
The Insider furthered that Carole and Michael are also not looking for financial assistance from Kate’s sister, Pippa and brother, James.
Party Pieces Company’s downfall came shortly after the business was expanded in 2021 with a retail partnership in the United States.
At the time, the company’s financial backers abandoned the business, and Interpath Advisory was recruited to manage its collapse.
However, Interpath professionals quickly acquired a $329,000 bill after charging an hourly rate of $716.
