Jennifer Lawrence looked ready for the runway when she stepped out in Beverly Hills on Wednesday — but in reality, she was just headed to the park with her 1-year-old son, Cy.
While getting dressed for their mommy-and-me adventure, the actress, 33, opted to go the quiet luxury route.
She layered her black leather blazer by The Row ($5,950) over a denim shirt from Celine ($940), and completed her look with a baggy black pair of Loewe trousers ($990) and cream-colored leather slides from The Row ($680).
As for accessories, the “No Hard Feelings” star kept it somewhat simple. She carried a light brown leather bag from The Row ($1,145) on her arm, and slipped on blue-tinted Loewe sunglasses ($310) as an additional statement piece.
Although Lawrence’s outfit totaled around $10,000, that didn’t keep her from running after her baby during their outing.
Lawrence is no stranger to expensive designer looks. This past year alone, she’s been spotted in pieces from Tom Ford, Proenza Schouler, and Bottega Veneta. She also attended a pre-SAG Awards 2023 party in a plunging Alaïa dress.
Still, she does enjoy items that are on the more affordable side. Aside from frequently rocking classic Adidas sneakers, she’s also been spotted carrying bags from Hollywood’s newest “It” brand, Aupen, which sells its dreamy designs for less than $400.
But being a famous style icon doesn’t come without its fair share of wardrobe malfunctions and faux pas. In November, when Lawrence unveiled Saks Fifth Avenue’s 2023 holiday window display — “Carousel of Dreams,” which was created in collaboration with Dior — her belt fell off in front of the crowd.
“I’m so sorry, that was so loud, my belt popped off!” the actress gasped from the podium, standing next to the CEO of Saks Fifth Avenue, Marc Metrick, and the CEO of Christian Dior, Delphine Arnault.
Lawrence also made headlines earlier in 2023, after she broke the Cannes Film Festival’s strict dress code by wearing flip-flops on the red carpet with her red Dior Haute Couture gown. After the incident occurred, she revealed she was not “making a political statement” and actually had “no clue” other stars occasionally wore flats in protest.
“My shoes were a size too big,” Lawrence told Entertainment Tonight.
“And I wore heels going up, but then I forgot to take a picture with my production team, Excellent Cadaver. So, we had to take an Excellent Cadaver picture, and I knew I would eat s—t if I went down in the shoes that were a size too big.”
Keep doing you, Jen!
