Emily Simpson is here for Alexis Bellino’s return to “The Real Housewives of Orange County” — and is very much looking forward to the chaos it could cause for veteran cast member Shannon Beador.
“I want to see that! That is good TV,” Simpson, 47, exclusively told Pvnew Tuesday night during the DIRECTV Christmas event hosted at Kathy Hilton’s Bel Air mansion.
“I’m sorry, but bring Alexis back,” she added, “and let Shannon spiral out of control.”
Simpson noted that she and Bellino — who starred on “RHOC” in Seasons 5 through 8 from 2009 until 2013 — have been close for an extended period, though they’ve never crossed paths as full-time orange holders.
“Alexis and I have been friends for years. I love Alexis,” the attorney said, emphasizing that she would “be fine” with her return to the reality show. “I think it would be great.”
Beador likely would not — especially as Bellino is getting to know her ex-boyfriend John Janssen, whom the latter now considers a “good friend.”
A recent photo of Bellino and Janssen seated together in a booth at The Quiet Woman — a favorite haunt of Beador’s in Newport Beach, Calif. — set the Bravo fandom on fire, prompting many to wonder if the two were pursuing each other romantically.
Simpson, for her part, does not think such is the case. Notably, she discovered concerning details about Beador’s relationship with Janssen — and his alleged body-shaming insults towards the Real for Real founder — over the past year-plus, as illustrated on “RHOC” Season 17.
“First of all, I don’t think Alexis would choose to pursue that. Alexis is way smarter than that,” Simpson said. “And second of all, if she did choose that, I’d be like, ‘What the f—k are you thinking? Are you stupid?’”
Simpson told us that she heard Beador was indignant over Bellino’s interactions with Janssen.
“I heard Shannon, like, lost her mind and was spiraling, so I don’t know,” she said. “To me, I think it was just probably a random meet-up. Not like they’re dating and they went there together.”
Before Bellino connected with Janssen, Beador made it no secret that she held disdain for the single mom of three.
“Other than one incident in which I witnessed her shouting obscenities at me from across a restaurant, immediately prior to her very unfortunate arrest, Shannon Beador and I have never worked together or interacted,” Bellino previously told Pvnew, referring to the hours leading up to Beador’s DUI in September.
Simpson doesn’t understand why Beador seemingly has it out for Bellino.
“A lot of things Shannon does and thinks and people she doesn’t like doesn’t make sense to me,” she explained.
“I don’t really understand a lot about Shannon. So I don’t know. I just think putting her and Alexis together would be great TV. I want to watch that. Somebody sign me up for that!”
“RHOC” stalwart Heather Dubrow — who has championed Bellino’s return for some time — also expressed her support for a full-fledged reprisal while chatting with Pvnew at Hilton’s holiday party.
“I think Alexis is great. I think she’s great on the show. And she and I have become really close in the last couple years and you know I keep talking about it,” she said. “I’m a proponent of it.”
When asked to predict Beador’s potential reaction to Bellino jumping back in the mix, Dubrow, 54, offered a placid response.
“Am I allowed to talk about Shannon?” she said with a laugh, noting that she’s been banned by Beador to publicly discuss the latter’s love life.
“The truth is we all live in the same town and people come in and out of our lives,” the “Malibu Country” actress continued. “So I guess we’ll just have to see what happens.”
Bellino, who also attended the DIRECTV bash, said she is down to make a comeback amid an apparent cast shakeup. (Taylor Armstrong — a “friend of” the cast who crossed over to “RHOC” from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” — announced her exit from the series on Wednesday.)
“I’ll never say never,” Bellino told Pvnew, admitting that her presence would inevitably “start a little drama” with Beador.
If there is ever a moment for the women to hash out Bellino’s hangouts with Janssen on camera, she will likely tell Beador to get over it.
“I don’t really care [what she thinks], to be honest,” Bellino said with a chuckle. “Here’s the truth: I have never met Shannon, I have never worked with Shannon. I wish her nothing but the best in life.”
She elaborated, “It’s unfortunate that if I become friends with someone by happenstance that this kind of drama happens. But there is nothing more I have to say. He’s a good friend and I’m excited to hang out with my friend.”
