June “Mama June” Shannon asked fans to continue praying for her daughter Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell as they go through “this transition” amid her terminal cancer battle.
“I’m making this post because so many people are reaching out to us all across social media,” she said in a video message on Instagram Friday night.
“I just want to let y’all know that some things have changed in our [lives] over the last few weeks, things that are totally out of our control.”
Shannon, 44, said Cardwell, 29, is “still with us,” but the family needs continued prayers as they “are going through this transition.”
“We see all your messages — even though we’re not responding back to all of y’all,” she added. “I’m gonna sign off. This will be my last message.
“When that time does come, we will also, as a family, come to y’all on social media because Anna would not have it any f–king other way.”
Shannon concluded, “But we love you guys and continue to pray for us as a family.”
In March, reports surfaced that Cardwell was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma.
Hours later, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson confirmed that her eldest sister was diagnosed with cancer.
“& this is what I mean when I say you never truly know what somebody is going through at home. no matter how famous they are,” the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum, 18, wrote on her Instagram Stories March 30.
“yes, I’m very famous but normal sh–t happens to me and my family & y’all need to realize that asap.”
Cardwell began undergoing chemotherapy, revealing that she lost her hair in “chunks” after just one treatment.
Shannon reportedly stepped up to care for Cardwell following her diagnosis, despite their strained relationship.
“June immediately knew she had to be there for her daughter after the diagnosis, and feels the past is simply in the past,” a source told TMZ in April. “She’s now doing whatever she can to help, including watching Anna’s kids.”
The mom of four also moved back to Georgia from Alabama with her husband, Justin Stroud, to help her daughter and Cardwell’s daughters, Kaitlyn, 11, and Kylee, 8.
While the family had remained optimistic about Cardwell’s diagnosis, Shannon revealed in July that the mom of two’s cancer had become terminal.
“We don’t know what to expect because the cancer is very aggressive, and it grew from nothing to something huge on the left side of her body really fast,” she told “Entertainment Tonight” at the time, noting that Cardwell had completed four rounds of chemotherapy.
