Danny Masterson’s wife, Bijou Phillips, looked downcast while leaving the Los Angeles Criminal Courthouse Thursday after her husband was sentenced to 30 years behind bars for two counts of rape.
Phillips, who stood by Masterson’s side throughout the trial, was photographed hiding behind a taller man as she exited the building.
Despite shielding her face at first, the 43-year-old eventually looked up to reveal her sullen expression.
Phillips, whose face appeared red and puffy, hid her eyes behind a pair of oversized, dark sunglasses.
The “Raising Hope” actress wore a pair of white trousers, a blue collared shirt with her sleeves rolled up and matching blue kitten heels.
While Phillips and Masterson’s mother were whisked away in a waiting vehicle, the “That ’70s Show” alum was led out of the hearing in handcuffs after blowing her a kiss goodbye.
Phillips was in the courtroom when her husband’s verdict was read aloud and reportedly kept her sunglasses on the whole time.
Despite maintaining a stoic expression throughout the hearing, Phillips kept her wedding ring on as an apparent sign of solidarity.
While handing down his sentencing, the judge told Masterson — who has maintained his innocence — that he is “not the victim.”
“Your actions 20 years ago took away another person’s choice and voice,” California Superior Court Judge Charlaine F. Olmedo told him. “Your actions 20 years ago today were criminal, and that’s why you are here.”
The victims were also present at the hearing and had the opportunity to deliver their own impact statements.
“You relish in hurting women. It is your addiction. It is without question your favorite thing to do,” one of the women said.
The 47-year-old, who did not take the stand during his trial, received the maximum possible sentence of 30 years to life in prison.
Masterson was found guilty of two 2003 rapes in May after his first November 2022 trial resulted in a hung jury.
While there were actually three women who came forward to accuse Masterson of sexual abuse, one of the cases was dismissed.
The ruling reportedly “shocked and devastated” his wife, who “wasn’t prepared for the verdict.”
“She never expected him to be found guilty,” an insider told People at the time. “She couldn’t believe that he was taken into custody right away and remanded.”
Bijou, who shares one child with the actor, also allegedly felt “terrified” about becoming a single mother.
The former socialite and the actor, who are both Scientologists, wed in 2011.
