First, AI came for our jobs — and now, it’s claimed Bella Hadid’s hair.
The model fronts Marc Jacobs Heaven‘s artificial intelligence-inspired fall campaign, looking unrecognizable with a bald head and clad in robot-inspired armor.
In one of photographer Carlijn Jacobs’ eerie shots, Hadid poses nude in a futuristic silver ear cuff ($150) with her back to the camera, a long metal tentacle extending from her spine.
In another, the 26-year-old catwalker goes full fembot in a gleaming chrome getup paired with Marc Jacobs’ multi-buckled Kiki boots ($595), which feature 6.3-inch heels.
Other images from the Danielle Emerson-styled sci-fi shoot see Hadid preparing to lock lips with a cyborg, twinning with a blond-bobbed mannequin and donning a clear plastic face mask.
It’s not her first time transforming for Jacobs; last year, Bella and sister Gigi both walked the designer’s runway with bleached brows and jet-black wigs that made their heads appear half-shaved.
Bella — who recently returned to modeling following a months-long leave from the industry stemming from her struggles with Lyme disease — has never shied away from a head-turning style moment.
Last year, she memorably closed Coperni’s catwalk show by having a dress spray-painted directly onto her body, and in 2021, she wore nothing but belts for a racy Calvin Klein editorial.
Now that Bella’s back in fashion full time, expect her to continue turning heads (with or without hair) for the foreseeable future.
