Rumer Willis isn’t here for hate about her breastfeeding journey.
After belatedly celebrating her birthday on Friday with a topless selfie nursing her baby girl, Louetta, the 35-year-old clapped back at Instagram trolls.
When one user asked “why” she shared the sweet snap, Demi Moore’s daughter simply replied, “[Be]cause I want to.”
However, Willis went all in on one of her followers who called the actress an “insecure … narcissist” and wrote that “nursing a baby is very private and should not be displayed like a circus event.”
Willis took to the comments section to write about the “privilege” of feeding her 4-month-old with breast milk.
“I’m sorry that you hold such a limited view of it,” she continued. “I think it’s incredibly important to share because there is an incredible amount of shame that comes with being born into a female body and I want to lead by example in teaching my daughter that she doesn’t have to be ashamed of her body ever and that she can decide how she wants to share it.”
When another hater accused Willis of having “low self-esteem,” she assured the troll that she is the “happiest [she has] ever been in life.”
The “Dancing With the Stars” alum gushed, “I really couldn’t care less what your opinion is about what you think I’m doing or why cause I know my heart and intentions but I truly pity you cause it says so much about you and how you value and love yourself and how you value other women that this is the way you took this post. … I feel so sorry for you.”
Willis concluded by sharing her “deepest reverence for all of the women who walked this path before” her, writing, “Things like breastfeeding need to be honored instead of shamed.”
The Broadway star, who gave birth to her daughter in April, has been vocal about her love for her postpartum body.
Last week, Willis was praised by other celebs for showing her “hot mom bod” in a nude social media upload.
“Genuinely never found more beauty and sexiness in myself until after baby. Because it’s ALL LOVE!!!” Elle King commented.
Kathy Hilton added, “This post is just beautiful like you.”
Willis revealed her pregnancy news in December 2022, one month after she and partner Derek Richard Thomas debuted their relationship.
Moore, 60, celebrated with her own post at the time, telling her followers that she was in her “kooky unhinged grandma era.”
The “St. Elmo’s Fire” star was present at her granddaughter’s home water birth, as well as her and ex-husband Bruce Willis’ youngest two daughters — Scout, 32, and Tallulah, 29 — which Rumer described on the “Informed Pregnancy Podcast” in June.
“It was the wildest thing,” she recalled, telling listeners how she “sobbed with joy” during “the most ecstatic, joyful moment” meeting Louetta.
