Before Josh Duggar’s June 2022 prison sentence began, the former reality star welcomed seven children with his wife, Anna Duggar.
The “19 Kids and Counting” alum, who was found guilty of possessing and receiving child pornography, was originally sentenced to 12 and a half years for his crimes — but his sentence was extended in March 2023 by nearly two more months.
When Josh does leave prison in October 2032, he will still be under a strict probation period for 20 years.
According to court documents, the former TLC personality will not be able to have unsupervised contact with minors, including his own children.
Josh will only be able to see his kids who are under the age of 18 if he is accompanied by Anna, his parents, Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, or another court-approved individual.

Anna Duggar
After meeting at a homeschooling convention, Anna and Josh began their courtship in 2006.
Josh proposed to his partner two years later, and the duo tied the knot in September 2008 in Florida. They have welcomed seven children over the years: Mackynzie, Michael, Marcus, Meredith, Mason, Maryella and Madyson.
While the couple’s growing family initially appeared on TLC’s “19 Kids and Counting” the series was canceled in 2015 after Josh admitted to molesting five girls, including four of his sisters. He also confessed to cheating on Anna and went to rehab for sex addiction.
In a statement to People at the time, Anna revealed she learned of Josh’s “mistakes” before their marriage, calling him “someone who had gone down the wrong path” before “receiv[ing] the help needed.”
Mackynzie Renée Duggar
In February 2009, Anna and Josh revealed on the TLC show that she was pregnant with their first child and “walking on clouds.”
The pair shared their baby-to-be’s sex on the “Today” show four months later, with the help of a cake. Mackynzie arrived in an October 2009 home birth.
In 2018, Josh and Anna’s eldest recorded a “Happy Heart” album with her aunts.
Michael James Duggar
Mackynzie’s first sibling, a baby brother named Michael, arrived in June 2011. He was Josh and Anna’s rainbow baby as they had suffered a miscarriage the previous year.
The little one’s first name honored his maternal grandfather, Michael Keller, as well as his paternal great-great-uncle, Michael Duggar.
After Michael’s birth, Josh and Anna confirmed their plans to give all of their babies “M” names as Jim Bob and Michelle did with the letter “J.”
Marcus Anthony Duggar
In June 2013, Anna gave birth to baby No. 3, a son named Marcus.
“Mackynzie and Michael are thrilled to welcome a little brother, and we are so thankful that mom and baby are well,” Josh told “Today” in a joint statement at the time.
As for whether they wanted to continue expanding their family, he noted, “We’re really just going to take it one at a time. … We have no control over that. God has the control.”
Meredith Grace Duggar
The couple moved from Arkansas to Washington, DC, before welcoming daughter Meredith.
The little one arrived on July 6, 2015, the same day that “19 Kids and Counting” was canceled over Josh’s molestation scandal.
“Anna did an amazing job through labor,” Michelle gushed three days later. “Meredith is beautiful and Mackynzie, Michael and Marcus are just loving having their little sister here.”
Mason Garrett Duggar
By the time Mason was born in September 2017, Josh and Anna had moved back to Arkansas with their family.
“It’s a blessing to have so much help from our moms and family members,” Anna told Us Weekly at the time. “Our other little ones adore Mason and want to hold him all the time!”
Six months prior, she and Josh referenced his scandal in their pregnancy reveal, writing, “For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage. … As we continue our journey as a family and rebuild our lives, we are delighted to share with you that we are expecting a new baby boy.”
Maryella Hope Duggar
In April 2019, Anna told her Instagram followers that baby No. 6 was on the way.
“Maryella Hope arrived one day ahead of Thanksgiving Day 2019 and a great reminder to be grateful for all God has done for us!” she celebrated seven months later.
“We are so excited and thankful to God for His special blessing giving us this precious, happy & healthy baby girl!”
Madyson Lily Duggar
Josh and Anna used an umbrella filled with pink confetti to announce via Instagram in April 2021 that baby No. 7, another girl, was on the way. However, she went social media silent six days later when Josh was arrested.
One month after Anna appeared pregnant at the courthouse in September 2021, Jim Bob confirmed that his 22nd grandchild had arrived.
Madyson made her Instagram debut in November 2021, with Anna simply writing, “Meet little Madyson Lily Duggar!” She has since deleted her account.
