The Brown family may be quite broken —but the drama is still in one piece. Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown continue to share insights into their complex relationships with Kody Brown, as the family navigates the passing of Janelle and Kody’s son, Garrison Brown, in Season 19 of “Sister Wives.”
In the new trailer for the season, which kicks off on Sept. 15 on TLC, the group both mourns and celebrates Garrison’s life, while also facing new pathways forward. Meri has decided to leave Kody, and appeals to their former church for an official release (a version of a divorce), which causes tension in the household. Kody tells Meri that it’s not “divorce that sucks, it’s marrying the wrong person.”

Kody says he wished he had never married Meri, exclaiming at the end of the trailer: “Blame yourself if I don’t love you, okay?” He describes the family situation as a “civil war.”
Janelle seeks to move on, mourn her son, and tries to move away from Flagstaff, where the family lives. Christine, who left Kody in November 2021 after over 25 years of marriage, has found herself a new soulmate, David. The pair go on their first date, move in together and marry in Moab, Utah in just under a year. The trailer sees Kody’s ex-wife introduce her new beau to her former sister wives and former husband.
Although Christine, Janelle and Meri have left him, Kody is still legally married to his fourth wife, Robyn. The pair attempt to adapt to life as a monogamous couple, leaving polygamy behind.
