It was all good just a week ago.
Natalie Portman and husband Benjamin Millepied were spotted packing on the PDA just days before news of his alleged affair with Camille Étienne surfaced.
On May 29, the couple — who wed in 2012 — was seen sharing a kiss and socializing with friends, including Portman’s “May December” director Todd Haynes, while dining at the restaurant Georges in Paris.
The “Black Swan” star could be seen standing outdoors, conversing with Haynes, 62, while holding a glass of wine in her hands.
Portman, 41, and the screenwriter shared a hug, while her husband chatted with an unknown woman nearby.
Their romantic outing came just four days before the French dancer’s alleged affair with the Étienne, 25, surfaced.
On Friday, Pvnew exclusively reported that Millepied was fighting desperately to save his marriage to Portman.
Sources told Pvnew that the twosome separated last year but managed to work through their issues — only for the latest allegations to emerge.
And a source close to the couple told us, “They have not split and are trying to work things out. Ben is doing everything he can to get Natalie to forgive him. He loves her and their family.”
The insider added that Portman is “incredibly private” and “her biggest focus right now is protecting the kids.”
French magazine Voici claimed that the ballet dancer had been spending time with Étienne and published photos of the dad of two and climate activist going into his office separately on May 24 and exiting 10 minutes apart two hours later.
The publication alleged that Portman learned about her husband’s affair “in early March.”
The “No Strings Attached” actress seemingly hinted at her marriage woes one day before the alleged cheating scandal went public.
On Thursday, she gave her nearly nine million Instagram followers a glimpse at her latest read — which is notably about a “grieving wife.”
“When X, a polarizing and elusive artist, drops dead in her office, her grieving wife sets out to uncover the truth of X’s life,” Portman captioned a photo with her head peeking out from out of the book.
“Part narrative fiction, part fake biography — Catherine Lacey’s Biography of X already feels wholly original and I can’t wait to discuss with you all. #JuneBookPick.”
A rep for Portman and Millepied declined to comment, while Étienne also did not respond to our request for comment.
The Oscar winner and Millepied met in 2009 on the set of her ballet movie “Black Swan,” for which he did the choreography.
They got engaged in 2010 and tied the knot in Big Sur, Calif., two years later
The couple share two children: son Aleph, 12, and daughter Amalia, 6.
