Billy Bush told Tara Reid she looks “too skinny” hours after she slammed eating disorder speculation in a newly released interview.
The actress wondered whether she “look[ed] any different” during a Thursday conversation with the “Extra” host, noting that they have known each other “for over 20 years.”
After confirming Reid wanted an “honest opinion,” Bush, 52, admitted, “I think you look a little … too skinny. I’m gonna say that.”
The former “Today” show host’s comment came after Reid, 47, told him that she is often bullied by haters calling her “too skinny.”
The model added, “It’s been going on for years, but there’s no eating disorder. … I eat all the time — that’s not a problem for me.”
She explained to Bush that criticism of her weight “maybe” stems from her “getting a little older and fragile” since “that’s what happens to older ladies.”
Regardless, Reid said, “I don’t think people should be making comments. I don’t think they should be saying nasty things or whatever.”
The “Special Forces” star initially denied struggling with anorexia and bulimia while speaking to The Los Angeles Inquisitor.
“I’m terrified of throwing up, so that’s not gonna happen,” Reid claimed during the interview. “And I love food too much. So anyone that says I’m anorexic or bulimic, they’re wrong.”
She requested that haters “stop it” and “leave [her] alone,” telling them to “pick on [her] again on something else, but not on those two things.”
Reid previously told us in November 2021 that “love will always beat hate” despite negative comments about her body.
“I’ve always been thin,” the “Celebrity Big Brother” alum said at the time. “So these stories are kind of crazy because it’s, like, there’s nothing that has changed for forever.”
