Peyton Manning trolled former rival Tom Brady for spending most of his free time lounging on his luxury yacht after hanging up his cleats last year.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show Thursday, the two-time Super Bowl champion pointed out the stark contrast between his life post-retirement and Brady’s, as the former New England Patriots star recently vacationed in the Bahamas on his $6 million vessel.
“Did he fly Delta to get to the yacht?” the 47-year-old asked, referring to Brady’s partnership with the airline.
“Is there a direct Delta flight into the Bahamas so that he can get onto the yacht?” he continued. “I was on a Delta flight the other night, I flew back from Hawaii. My flight got canceled.”
In fact, the 6-foot-5 quarterback says he was placed all the way in the back of the plane, which is something Brady probably hasn’t experienced for “about 30 years.”
“I was in 36F. Has Tom sat in 36F on a Delta flight?” he jokingly asked.
Manning continued, “They put me in an exit row, Pat, which was great for leg room but I swear the door was open. It was as cold as I’ve ever been and I’ve played in some cold-weather games, I’ve been in Green Bay, played in New England.”
However, when Manning asked the flight attendant for “a warmer blanket,” the aircrew member was apparently “so disappointed that [he] was complaining about being cold [that] she wouldn’t give [him] a blanket.”
Meanwhile, Brady — who was spotted lounging on his yacht a few days prior — caught wind of Manning’s comments and took to Twitter with a playful comeback.
“I’m sure the temperature was perfect,” the 46-year-old tweeted. “Peyton could never handle life outside the dome…
