Royal fans believe King Charles III has been “bullied” into hiding what he once described as his “sausage fingers.”

In new photos released ahead of his coronation Saturday, the monarch conceals his hands by placing them behind his back or in his pockets.

Since Charles ascended the throne in September 2022 following the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, images of his hands have gone viral.

The king is no stranger jabs at his puffy appendages, and even jokingly referred to them as his “sausage fingers” during his 2012 Australian tour.

In light of his apparent decision to conceal his digits, fans have spoken out against the treatment Charles, 74, has received over his hands, which are puffy because of an undisclosed medical condition.

“I want to abolish the monarchy but I do still feel bad that we have gang bullied a grown man into never showing his hands again,” a follower commented.

“I can’t believe Twitter has bullied the literal king into never showing his hands,” tweeted another.

“Show us his hands cowards,” replied another.

During his first trip to Wales after the death of his mother, fans immediately noticed how raw and red the king’s hands became while greeting citizens and expressed their concern on social media.

However, a physician weighed in and said there’s no cause for alarm.

“There aren’t any immediate health concerns to be concluded from swollen fingers and is most likely a sign of his age,” Dr. Gareth Nye told the Daily Star.

With the excitement — and perhaps anxiety — behind him after Saturday, perhaps the hands will de-puff.
