Tamra Judge is not here for the judgements.
The “Real Housewives of Orange County” star is shutting down speculation that Ozempic use led to her intestinal obstruction.
Judge revealed her condition Monday night from a hospital bed and told her social media followers she was “praying” she wouldn’t “need surgery.”
“This is Ozempic, right?” one of many Twitter users presumed, which prompted Judge to fire back, “These comments that I’m on Ozempic are disgusting. I’ve suffered from intestinal problems for years. I’ve had multiple surgeries in the past 12 years.”
She went on, “Remember when you all made fun of me for not having a belly button? That was due to emergency life-saving surgery. Part of my intestines were being strangled.”
Judge, 56, added that her “grandmother died of intestinal problems.”
She insisted that she’s “never” taken Ozempic — a brand name for a type of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonist, a diabetes-turned-weight-loss drug — and “wouldn’t use it for weight loss!”
Just last week, the Journal of the American Medical Association published the results of a large study that found that taking medications like Ozempic for weight loss increased the risk of serious stomach and intestinal issues.
But that doesn’t seem to be the cause of Judge’s problems, and amid the sea of unfounded theories were several messages of defense and support.
“We’ve literally watched you workout [sic], compete in a [fitness] competition, and own a gym… and people are seriously saying you are on Ozempic? That is the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard. I hope you feel better soon
