They’re still two peas in a pod(cast).
Jax Taylor says he’ll eventually appear on Tom Sandoval’s podcast — even after slamming the latter’s “distasteful” announcement for “Everybody Loves Tom.”
“I’m sure one day I’ll be on it,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum, 44, exclusively told Pvnew during a press junket for his E! reality show, “House of Villains.”
However, Taylor emphasized that he did not agree with Sandoval’s decision to launch his podcast — and without a shirt on — less than 12 hours after ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix made her debut on “Dancing With the Stars” Season 32.
“I think he should definitely have a podcast. He needs an outlet. There’s a way to do it, though. I think maybe waiting a couple days ’til after the show came out probably would’ve been a little bit better,” he explained.
“I think that was a little bit distasteful,” Taylor continued. “But other than that, like I said, he’s learning, he’s trying to reinvent himself.”
Taylor said he has extended support to Sandoval, 41, in the wake of his earth-shattering cheating scandal. The cover band frontman infamously carried out a months-long affair with “Pump Rules” castmate Raquel Leviss behind Madix’s back.
The tryst was uncovered in March, prompting Madix, 38, to end the nearly decade-long relationship and move on with hunky fitness pro Daniel Wai.
Meanwhile, Sandoval faced an avalanche of public backlash for his indiscretions, forcing him to contemplate suicide, he claimed on an episode of “Everybody Loves Tom.”
“I’m not saying I support what he does, but when the whole world is coming down on you, the last thing he needs is Jax Taylor to come down on him too,” Taylor told us of his current friendship with Sandoval.
“I just felt like kind of taking the high road on this one and saying, ‘Listen, if you need something, I’m here.’ I know what he did was wrong,” he elaborated. “Everybody makes mistakes but I’ve been friends with this guy for 20 years … I think he’s learned his lesson and I think he’s moving on.”
The Jax’s Studio City owner — who exited “Pump Rules” in 2020 with wife Brittany Cartwright — did acknowledge that Sandoval hasn’t been able to completely absolve himself of his new “villain” title after betraying Madix.
“[He’s] probably one of … the biggest villains [in the] TV world right now,” he told us, while encouraging Sandoval to pursue a potential “House of Villains” Season 2 after expanding his reality TV resume with recent stints on “Special Forces” and “The Masked Singer.”
“Season 2, he will definitely do well on the show,” asserted Taylor, who considers himself a “reformed villain” after conquering his own infidelity demons. “He’s got my vote.”
