Dave Portnoy called out the NFL for obsessing over Taylor Swift as she cheered on her new beau, Travis Kelce, at the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the New York Jets on Sunday night.
“This is nuts. The NFL is simping for Taylor,” the Barstool Sports founder and self-proclaimed Swiftie tweeted, using a slang term for showing excessive devotion to someone.
Portnoy, 46, also roasted viewers who tuned in from home just to catch a glimpse of the “Cruel Summer” singer in her VIP box at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.
“3 plays in… ‘I can see why Taylor likes going. He has the ball all the time,'” he wrote.
The “One Bite” pizza reviewer later complained that Swift, 33, was bringing chaos to “Sunday Night Football.”
“There is almost too much stuff going on for a Swiftie, a football fan and somebody who bet 25k on chiefs and has Kelce on my fantasy team,” he tweeted.
Portnoy also razzed Blake Lively, who joined Swift in the crowd along with her husband, Ryan Reynolds.
“Taylor called up all her friends like 2 weeks ago and said ‘hey, Im in the mood to get really into football. Do it with me,” a troll tweeted, to which Portnoy replied, “Facts. Blake Lively out here cheering for the Chiefs like she grew up in Overland Park Missouri.”
Also in Swift’s box were Hugh Jackman and Sophie Turner, who has been staying at Swift’s Tribeca apartment amid the “Game of Thrones” star’s nasty divorce from Joe Jonas.
Ironically, Portnoy continued to tweet about Swift after dragging the NFL for focusing on the pop star throughout the evening.
“It’s tough to tell which suite is having more fun tonight? @AaronRodgers12 vs @taylorswift13,” he tweeted of the Jets quarterback, who is sitting out the season after injuring his Achilles tendon in September’s season opener.
The High Noon partner also joked about wanting Swift to hold a can of the alcoholic beverage for some free advertising after spotting other attendees in her box sipping the refreshment.
“Pass that motherf–king drink 2 doors down!!!! For the love of god pass that High Noon down!!!” he joked.
And when the Chiefs pulled through in a close game, beating the Jets 23-20, Pornoy buried his tears in a Swift-focused message to fans.
“Final scorecard. Lost my bet. Lost fantasy and the girl 3 doors down drank 9,000 high noons and didn’t offer Taylor 1. Bad night,” he wrote.
Portnoy has been fixated on Swift’s relationship with the tight end, 33, since news broke in mid-September that they are seeing each other.
He claimed that Kelce was using the dating rumors for “clout,” though the couple confirmed the chatter when Swift attended a previous Chiefs game with the athlete’s mom, Donna, and then spent an evening with Kelce afterward.
Portnoy also admitted that Swift wouldn’t be his first girlfriend choice for Kelce but that he supports the decision.
“Mother works hard to provide for us,” he wrote on Instagram last month, adding, “She is allowed to have fun too.”
Portnoy also praised Kelce, explaining, “I’ve met him a few times, and he’s a nice guy in person. Way more down to earth and normal than I would have guessed by his onfield [sic] theatrics.”
