Kelly Ripa suffered a series of wardrobe malfunctions during her second “Live” show alongside husband Mark Consuelos.
The couple turned co-anchors were joined by “Dancing With The Stars” pros Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson Chmerkovskiy, who taught the pair how to do the jive.
Yet when Consuelos went to dip Ripa onto his knee, the 52-year-old popped a seam in the back of her hot pink dress.
“Did the entire back of my dress rip?” Ripa asked as she sprang to her feet, joking “It’s just a breakaway dress!”
“Nope! Nope! Just a little bit,” Consuelos reassured his wife, showing her the string that had ripped off.
Although the pair were able to learn the rest of the routine, Ripa revealed she suffered another mishap while practicing during the commercial break.
“Well so far I’ve torn my dress. I lost a shoe,” she joked.
To which Jenna replied, “That’s what dance is all about….take it off!”
Despite the unexpected challenges, the foursome went on to nail the choreography — but the rest of the show proved to be just as difficult.
Ripa and Consuelos have been facing lots of criticism after officially kicking off “Live with Kelly and Mark” this week following Ryan Seacrest’s departure from the daytime talk show.
“Gosh I don’t know with them together,”one viewer tweeted Tuesday.
“I am not a fan. Loved Ryan and all his stories, he brought another layer to the show.”
“Kelly and Mark look uncomfortable together, it’s hard to watch. Mark as a fill in cohost was fun to watch. This isn’t fun to watch anymore. Need Ryan back,” another added.
While a third person called their dynamic “painful,” adding that they “changed the channel” right away.
However, other fans defended the couple, saying they seemed “nervous” and just need a little time getting used to their new normal.
The duo received the same reaction after their debut show on Monday, with Ripa being accused of talking over and interrupting her husband, 52.
The “Riverdale” alum announced he would be taking over from Seacrest, 48, in February after the “American Idol” host revealed his sixth season would be his last.
Soon after, Pvnew exclusively reported that ABC had been wooing Consuelos, who wed Ripa in 1996, to join the show since last summer.
