Kylie Jenner got deep on her insecurities in a new interview with Homme Girls today, revealing that while she “got lip filler,” the reality star isn’t as plastic as people think.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder, 25 — who covers the spring/summer 2023 issue of the mag in a latex outfit — opens up about her makeup empire, her kids and her famous lips in the interview.
“I think a big misconception about me is that I’ve had so much surgery on my face and that I was some insecure person, and I really wasn’t!” she tells the outlet.
While she admits that she “wanted full lips,” the “Kardashians” star shares that it wasn’t because of a huge self-esteem issue.
The mom of two says that she was “always the most confident person in the room” as a child and “the girl performing for everyone,” but because of her “one lip insecurity thing” she chose to make a change.
“I got lip filler, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done,” she shares. “I don’t regret it. But I always thought I was cute.”
While she’s happy to discuss the injections now, it took a while for the reality star to admit to using fillers; in a 2015 episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” the then-17-year-old revealed after much speculation, “I have temporary lip fillers. It’s just an insecurity of mine and it’s what I wanted to do.”
After telling fans on social media, “I got rid of all my filler” in 2018, the star was back at it a year later, telling Paper Magazine she was a filler fan.
“People think I fully went under the knife and completely reconstructed my face, which is completely false,” she said at the time, adding, “They don’t understand what good hair and makeup and, like, fillers, can really do.”
She /confirm/ied, “It’s fillers. I’m not denying that.”
Along with her lips, Jenner shares more about her cosmetics line in the HommeGirls interview, calling makeup her “passion” and “love in life.”
“It’s what keeps me going every day, being creative on Kylie Cosmetics,” the youngest Jenner sister says, sharing that she’s “rebranding.”
“I used to do a lot of limited-edition collections which are so fun, but my goal is to continue to elevate and extend the core line,” Jenner reveals, adding “we’re looking to do things we’ve never done before.”
As for her philosophy on beauty since becoming a mom, the TV personality shares that “it’s changed so much.”
Jenner, who shares a 5-year-old daughter, Stormi, and 1-year-old son, Aire, with Travis Scott, says motherhood has made her look at herself differently.
“I see my features in my daughter and my son now, but you know, my daughter looks like me. I get to see my beauty in her, and it’s made me love myself more for sure.”
