Mamie Laverock’s family provided a hopeful update after the “When Calls the Heart” actress fell from a five-story balcony.
“Mamie is out of her big surgeries and the doctors [say] she is doing well,” a message at the bottom of her GoFundMe read.
“It’s impossible for us to be happier. Thank you all for your support.”

According to the GoFundMe — which is run by the 19-year-old’s mother, Nicole Compton — Laverock experienced the fall over the weekend while staying at a hospital in Vancouver.
“We are deeply saddened to report that on May 26th, Mamie, who has been in intensive treatment for the past two weeks, was escorted out of a secure unit of the hospital and taken up to a balcony walkway from which she fell five stories,” her family explained.
“She sustained life threatening injuries, has undergone multiple extensive surgeries, and is currently on life support. We are all devastated, in shock, at this intensely difficult time.”
The fundraiser was initially set up after the Hallmark star experienced some kind of life-threatening medical emergency in Winnipeg earlier this month.
“On Saturday May 11th, Nicole traveled to Winnipeg to help Mamie, who was having a medical emergency,” the family shared without elaborating on the nature of the crisis.
“Nicole was able to get there in time to save her life. Then got her to a hospital in Winnipeg.”
According to the GoFundMe, Laverock was then transferred to a hospital in Vancouver, where her family appears to reside.
“Her recovery is unclear at this time,” they said, “but she is alive and is showing signs of improvement.”
At the time, they anticipated Laverock would need care for “upwards of a month or more.”
