Jelly Roll gets a kick out of fresh feet.
The country star might have had a “humble” upbringing, but he shocked fans by revealing a rather diva-like tendency when it comes to his wardrobe while chatting with Audacy’s Sabrina Sergio at the Academy of Country Music Awards 2024 last week.
The radio host asked Jelly Roll, 39, what he’d last purchased on Amazon; he replied that he bought socks, admitting, “I only wear socks once.”

The “Need a Favor” singer — who said he orders “socks in bulk” — called it a “frivolous habit,” adding, “Don’t judge me for this, y’all. I promise I grew up very humble.”
When Sergio reacted in shock, Jelly Roll exclaimed, “I know! It’s the most frivolous thing I’ve done with my success and I’m sorry and I hope I didn’t let nobody down with that.”
“When you’re fat, you can’t have stinky feet too, so you gotta have fresh socks,” the musician added with a laugh.
The “Son of a Sinner” musician’s behavior is reminiscent of Justin Bieber’s approach to boxers; the pop star once confessed he “definitely” doesn’t “wear them twice.”
Fans had plenty to say about Jelly Roll’s unusual sock rule on Instagram, like one who wrote, “Could at least wash them and give them to the homeless.”
