He learned his lesson.
Tom Brady admits he “didn’t like” how his children were “affected” by the jokes made about Gisele Bündchen and Bridget Moynahan during his Netflix roast.
“I loved when the jokes were about me,” the former NFL star said on “The Pivot” podcast Tuesday. “I thought they were so fun. I didn’t like the way that affected my kids.”
The seven-time Super Bowl champion — who shares son Jack, 16, with Moynahan and son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with ex-wife Bündchen — said he didn’t think his decision to be a part of “The Roast of Tom Brady” through.

“It’s the hardest part about like, the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then all of a sudden you realize, ‘I wouldn’t do that again,’ because of the way that affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world,” he explained.
“So it makes you in some ways a better parent going through it because sometimes you’re naive you don’t know or you get a little like, ‘Oh s–t!’”
Brady, 46, said he initially signed up for the roast because he wanted to laugh and didn’t mind if people cracked jokes about him.
However, he said he learned a “good lesson” due to the quips that were made about his family.
“You don’t see the full picture all of the time. It’s a good lesson for me as a parent. I’m going to be a better parent as I go forward because of it,” he added.
“At the same time, I’m happy everyone who was there had a lot of fun.”
During the roast, which aired on the streaming platform on May 5, the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback was obliterated about his past relationships with the mothers of his three children by comedians like Nikki Glaser and Kevin Hart.
“Tom, you’re the best to ever play for too long, you retired then came back then retired, I get it. It’s hard to walk away from something that isn’t your pregnant girlfriend,” Glaser, 39, joked about Brady’s ex Moynahan, who was pregnant with their son when he dumped her in 2006.
“To be fair, he didn’t know. He just thought she was getting fat.”
Hart, 44, roasted the ex-NFL player about his ex-wife, Bündchen, and her new romance with her jiu-jitsu trainer, Joaquim Valente.
The “Central Intelligence” star began his joke by stating how Brady left New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick “high and dry” when he went to play for the Buccaneers.
“You sometimes got to f–k your coach,” he said. “You know who else f–ked their coach? Gisele. She f–ked that karate man.”
Page Six exclusively reported that the Brazilian model, 43, felt hurt because Brady “once again put football before his family” during his comedy roast.
Meanwhile, Moynahan, 53, has been sharing cryptic messages on social media about being “kind” and being “loyal.”
Despite the drama, Brady shouted out the “Blue Bloods” actress, Bündchen and his mom in a sweet Mother’s Day post over the weekend.
“Happy Mothers Day to these kind, caring, compassionate and POWERFUL moms that I’m lucky to have in my life. None of this would be possible without your love ❤️❤️❤️,” he captioned the post.
