She’s single and ready for multiples.
Former Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui shared that she is exploring the idea of polyamory after her breakup from ex-partner Sasha Mallory.
“I’m also kind of in this space of exploring polyamory a little bit,” Jauregui, 27, said in Monday’s episode of the “Two Dykes and a Mic” podcast of having relationships with multiple partners at once.
The “Work From Home” singer, who identifies as queer, admitted that she has not really figured out what that kind of dating life would look like, but she knows she does not want to be constrained.

“I just know that I’m in a space right now at this point in my life where I’m like, I want to belong to myself primarily,” she explained. “And then I want to leave space for whoever I meet and me to create boundaries between us, whether it’s like, ‘Oh no, we’re just platonic’ or ‘There’s kind of a little vibe here.'”
She continued, “We can explore that, and it won’t necessarily affect if I’m exploring something with someone else, you know?”
Jauregui emphasized that transparency and communication would be key if she were to officially sway outside of monogamy.
“Obviously, I’m super communicative, so I would never put someone in that scenario that doesn’t want to be in that scenario,” she clarified. “But I just feel very free right now, and I don’t feel like this monogamous, held-down energy is really for me.”
She also joked that if the “right person” came along, she would turn into a “U-Haul-ass bitch.”
“I’m like, ‘Forget it. Everybody leave. I’m getting married.’ I’m such a Cancer,” she said with a laugh.
Still, the former “X Factor” contestant said she is not looking for a casual fling and wants to explore emotional connections.
“I’m not in a space of wanting to f–k random people at all — like, literally at all,” she said. “I think I might be demisexual ‘cause I went through the phase of trying to just sleep with people, and I hated it. I hated it.”
She added, “In order for me to be really turned on and enjoy sex, I need to know that you care about me as a human being. I can’t be transactional for you.”
Jauregui, who dated Ty Dolla $ign for two years until splitting in 2019, also said that she does not have a type and cares for “personality over everything.”
“If you can make me laugh and you’re cool and I like spending time with you, I’m a quality time type [of] gal,” she said, describing what she looks for in a partner.
Jauregui and Mallory confirmed their relationship on Instagram in February 2023.
The “Worth It” hitmaker fell for the dancer while working together on her “Always Love” tour.
Despite their recent breakup, Jauregui shared that they are still “besties.”
“We’re really close, actually,” she said, adding, “She’s one of my best friends.”
