“Real Housewives of Miami” star Marysol Patton said she was shocked to hear about her co-star Alexia Nepola’s split from her husband, Todd Nepola.
“We’re all a little shocked and it’s not a good day for her to be here and participate,” she said on Monday’s episode of her and Alexia’s “Ay Por Favor” podcast.
“What can I say? I am completely taken by surprise. I mean, I didn’t see this coming. It rips my heart apart because I can only put myself in her shoes and know how hard this must be for her.”

“We all have that dream of being in love and then we find a partner and we have the fantasy of the perfect life and then reality hits sometimes and it’s not what we thought it was going to be,” Patton, 57, continued.
“Today we all got a big cold dose of reality. Things don’t always turn out the way we had planned. I’m very sad for her.”
Patton further said she knows her pal will see “better times ahead.”
Page Six confirmed that Todd, 51, filed for divorce from Alexia, 56, on April 11.
The real estate broker claimed his marriage with the reality star was “irretrievably broken.”
Per the documents, the former couple also have a pre-nuptial agreement, though the details are unclear.
On Monday, Alexia spoke out about the bombshell breakup, saying she was “heartbroken.”
“I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
“I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by side supporting me during this difficult time. I’m praying for better times ahead.”
Alexia and Todd tied the knot in a luxurious destination wedding in St. Barts on Dec. 10, 2021.
They were originally supposed to host their nuptials in August of that year but they postponed their big day due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Bravolebrity was previously married to Peter Rosello from 1992 to 1996. They share sons, Frankie and Peter.
Alexia was also married to Herman Echevarria from 2004 to 2015. He tragically died from a heart attack in 2016.
As for Todd, he has daughters Gabby and Sophia from a past relationship.
