Morgan Wallen’s outburst at a Nashville bar was reportedly the result of learning his ex-fiancée, KT Smith, married another man.
A source told the Daily Mail Monday that Wallen had been grappling with his ex’s new relationship status when he threw a chair at police standing below the rooftop bar.
“KT’s marriage to Luke [Scornavacco] last week just crushed him,” an insider told the outlet.
“Whatever happened at that bar had to be reality hitting him in the face over losing the love of his life.”

The “Wasted on You” singer, 30, and Smith started dating in 2016 and got engaged a few months later. Although they broke off their engagement, the pair dated on and off until November 2019.
Despite their split, the twosome welcomed a son, Indigo, together in 2020.
“Morgan has never gotten over her even though he couldn’t stay faithful to her,” the source alleged. “And now another man is going to be raising his son.”
However, an insider tells Page Six that the incident had nothing to do with KT’s marriage.
Reps for the country star did not immediately reply to our request for comment.

Smith, 29, and Scornavacco, 22, went public with their relationship in May 2023 and the latter popped the question with a $22,000 diamond sparkler in March 2024.
The content creator got down on one knee during an elaborate proposal complete with over 1,700 flowers at Magnolia Farm. Smith looked wedding-ready in a long white dress while Scornavacco donned all-black, as seen in photos taken by Clare Sanborn.
Just five days after announcing their engagement, the pair shocked their followers — and Wallen — by getting hitched during a courthouse ceremony.
“Of course he knew they were engaged and eventually going to get married — but eloping just days after they got engaged?” the source told the Daily Mail.
The newlyweds announced the life update on Instagram alongside a selfie of them both smiling as she held up a marriage certificate from the Wilson County Clerk’s Office in Tennessee.
However, the pair was quick to deny having a shotgun wedding, with Smith sharing a photo of a negative pregnancy test.
“this is for all the trolls,” she wrote, “so pls continue to be as invested in my uterus once we are actually pregnant LOL.”
The country music superstar was arrested Sunday night for allegedly launching a chair from the sixth floor of Eric Church’s new bar, Chief’s, on Broadway.
Two police officers were standing outside the establishment when the chair landed right in front of them, according to local outlet News Channel 5.
Wallen, who reportedly laughed about the incident, was subsequently arrested for three counts of reckless endangerment and charged with disorderly conduct.
After being taken to the police station, the “Last Night” singer posed for a mugshot before posting his $15,000 bail.
This isn’t Wallen’s first run-in with the law in recent years. In May 2020, the country crooner was arrested on disorderly conduct and public intoxication charges while at a different bar in Nashville.
He was also charged with a DUI in 2016.
