‘RHOBH’ alum Annemarie Wiley addresses transphobia accusations: ‘Very hurtful, disgusting and damaging’

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Annemarie Wiley shut down allegations that she and her husband, Marcellus Wiley, are transphobic despite believing that trans athletes should not compete against cis ones.

While speaking to Carlos King on Tuesday’s episode of his “Reality with the King” podcast, the former Bravolebrity shut down allegations that a lot of her scenes on the show were cut due to her husband’s alleged transphobia and political views.

“I am so happy to address that,” she said. “Calling someone transphobic is very hurtful, disgusting and damaging.”

The 40-year-old then claimed that “no one is transphobic” because she supports the trans community, trans rights and women’s sports.

The former “RHOBH” star said she and her husband have an issue with trans women playing against cis women in sports due to their physical differences.

However, she did point out that they do have an issue with transgender women playing against cisgender women in sports due to their physical differences.

“My husband’s stance on it is that he is not in support of it, and he’s in support of there being safe spaces for everybody, and I agree with that,” she said.

The nurse anesthesiologist then claimed that she was “badgered” and “attacked” by her “RHOBH” castmates due to their views. However, those conversations never made it on the season.

Page Six has reached out to Bravo but did not immediately hear back.

Over a year ago, the couple came under fire when Marcellus said on social media that he has “an issue with athletes who are transgender women trying to compete against biological women.”

“Why can’t the dudes who transition to women actually empower women by competing against men?” the former NFL player, 49, wrote on Instagram at the time.

Annemarie’s time on the show was then cut short when she was fired after only one season.

“I just got word today that I will not be returning to ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’ To say that I’m disappointed is an understatement,” she wrote via Instagram on March 21.

The mom of four added that she had been “excited” to join the cast and did what she was “instructed” to do during filming, but later realized it had been a “rookie mistake.”

Annemarie said she was “disappointed” viewers “never got to see the real me or even a glimpse of my unique life story.” She also said that she wished her family life could have been shown more on TV.

Following her news, many believed that the real reason she was fired was because of her views on trans athletes and politics.

Additionally, months before the season premiered on Bravo, a former classmate of Marcellus at Columbia University alleged that he attacked her in the fall of 1994 when he was a sophomore and star football player.

Per the lawsuit filed in November 2023 and obtained by The Post, Marcellus allegedly forced himself on the woman in her freshman dorm room.

She claimed that he ignored her verbal objections and took her virginity, which she claimed drove her to attempt suicide.

Marcellus denied the claims in a lengthy YouTube video.
