The plot thickens.
Several of Kate Middleton’s senior staffers have reportedly not been in contact with her amid growing concern for the Princess of Wales’ well-being.
“A few of Kate’s senior staffers haven’t been able to see or speak to her, and they didn’t even know about the surgery until it was announced, so it’s caught them off guard,” a source told Us Weekly Wednesday.
“only a few people know what’s really going on, and they’re tight-lipped.”

However, the royal insider notes that — otherwise — there has been a “shroud of secrecy” surrounding the princess, which has reportedly caused further confusion and concern.
Page Six has reached out to Kensington Palace’s press office for comment on the source’s remarks but did not immediately hear back.
The institution has been under scrutiny for how they handled all of the speculation surrounding Middleton.
After conspiracy theorists dominated the internet by sharing they believe the princess is missing in action because of everything from secret marital issues to her getting a Brazilian butt lift, a suspicious photo of Middleton was released for Mother’s Day in Great Britain.
Eagle-eyed fans noticed almost immediately the picture had been edited, and photo agencies — including the Associated Press — issued a kill notice for the image shortly after, confirming it had been doctored.
Instagram also added a warning to the pic, noting that it had been “altered” in some way.
Middleton herself then apologized via a post on X saying that “like many amateur photographers,” she does “occasionally experiment with editing.”
“I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused,” she added in the statement shared last week.
However, some believed that Middleton did not actually pen that post, and an insider now told Us Weekly that the release of the peculiar Mother’s Day photo was allegedly a “collective decision.”

“[The idea was that] Kate could thank members of the public for all the support and at the same time put some of those ridiculous conspiracy rumors to rest,” the insider claimed to the outlet.
Kensington Palace, meanwhile, has refused to release the original image of Middleton posing with her three young children, further fanning the flames.
There have been two paparazzi sightings of the princess, however, during this time, with one shot being of her leaving Windsor Castle with William, 41. But even that pic is believed to be Photoshopped.
“Kate’s extremely keen to get back to work,” a source told Us Weekly. “This has been one of the most challenging months for Kate as a royal, and she’s praying the fuss dies down as soon as possible.”
The insider added of whether Middleton plans to set the record straight, “Perhaps when she’s feeling up to it, she may reveal more, but she’s not making any promises.”
