Joss Stone and Hozier will headline the 8th annual Love Rocks NYC concert, Pvnew can exclusively reveal.
We hear Conan O’Brien, Tracy Morgan and Jim Gaffigan will host the evening at the Beacon Theater on March 7.
The shindig has become a beloved annual event that raises money for God’s Love We Deliver.
The charitable organization, founded in 1985 during the AIDS pandemic, now cooks, packages and delivers more than 4 million medically tailored meals to thousands of New Yorkers too sick to shop and cook for themselves.
This year’s stellar lineup also includes The Black Keys, Nile Rodgers, Bettye Lavette, Tom Morello, Trombone Shorty and New York Yankees legend Bernie Williams, who has a second career as a jazz guitarist.
The music jamboree is the brainchild of Douglas Elliman broker Greg Williamson, concert producer Nicole Rechter and clothing designer John Varvatos.
Past performers for the star-studded concert have included Keith Richards, James Taylor, Robert Plant, Melissa Etheridge, Cyndi Lauper and Sara Bareilles.
Unfortunately, the need for God’s Love has grown exponentially in recent times.
Last year, the charity’s president and CEO, David Ludwigson, told Pvnew that they were cooking and delivering 33 percent more meals. He also proudly noted that “we’ve never had a waiting list, and we do it without charge to the client.”
Williamson is thrilled to be co-producing the event again.
“It’s always an honor and a privilege to put this concert on for God’s Love and New York City,” he tells us. “We have funded 3 million meals so far and have no plans to slow down!”
