Kyle Richards can seemingly relate to the concept of micro-cheating.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star recently “liked” a cryptic Instagram post about the nuanced phenomenon amid her separation from her longtime husband, Mauricio Umansky, as spotted by account @facereality16.
According to an influencer named Sameeksha Dhoundiyal, micro-cheating includes “secretly messaging someone,” “deleting messages,” “complaining about your partner to other people,” “maintaining contact with your exes or people you used to talk to,” “lying about your relationship status online or offline,” “being touchy with someone else,” “trying to impress someone who isn’t your partner,” “having [a] secret friendship” and “stalking someone you find attractive.”
Richards and Umansky confirmed their separation in July 2023 after 27 years of marriage. Though the former couple insisted at the time that there was “no wrongdoing on anyone’s part,” rumors have long swirled that the real estate broker was not always faithful.
Additionally, the Bravolebrity’s suspiciously close friendship with country singer Morgan Wade has raised some eyebrows.
Throughout the current “RHOBH” season, cameras have captured Richards and Umansky bickering and appearing disconnected.
Then in an episode last month, the cast was playing a cheeky card game when Sutton Stracke pulled one that read, “What is appropriate for husbands when it comes to communicating with other women on social media?”
“Murder,” Richards, 55, replied. “I’ve had a fight with Mau over that. I hate that. ‘Liking’ people’s photos, following people — you don’t do that.”
She added, “Mau gets a lot of DMs from women. They don’t care that he’s married, and they’re always the aggressor. It just makes you realize there’s a lot of f–king a–holes out there.”
At least publicly, the actress and the Agency founder, 53, have managed to maintain a healthy co-parenting relationship as they still live under the same roof and travel together, with Richards recently admitting that she can’t imagine her life without Umansky.
Neither has filed for divorce.
