Kyle Richards is reflecting on the concept of “post-traumatic growth” after her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, partied it up with other women.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 54, took to her Instagram Story Tuesday to share a post from @health that defined post-traumatic growth as “the acceptance of negative past experiences or events which can often make you more focused, compassionate, spiritual, and aware of your strengths and possibilities than before.”
The wellness account added in its caption, “There’s no sugarcoating it: Sometimes, life hurts. Losses, heartbreaks, and setbacks of all kinds can strongly affect anyone.
“In response, psychologists are increasingly studying the possibilities of what’s known as post-traumatic growth. Head to the link in our bio to learn more about post-traumatic growth, and the hidden power of resilience.”
Though Richards and Umansky came together with their four daughters to celebrate Christmas in Aspen, Colo., the real estate broker was in the city a few days prior, living it up with younger celebrities.
First, the Agency founder, 53, was photographed stepping out with influencer Alexandria Wolfe, 31.
He then went skiing with singer Anitta, 30, and YouTuber Lele Pons, 27, both of whom wore nothing but towels.
“Some fun Shenanigans about to occur,” he teased atop Instagram Story videos of the trio’s “perfect” day.
Umansky was later seen at a nightclub, taking off his shirt and spraying champagne on the Brazilian bombshell as she twerked on him.
Meanwhile, Richards, 54 — who has denied that her former flame is dating Anitta — was in Punta De Mita, Mexico, trying to “escape reality for a bit.”
The ex-couple, who got married in January 1996, confirmed their separation in July — just two months after the actress lost her best friend to suicide.
On the currently airing season of “RHOBH,” Richards broke down over the sudden death of her “other half,” Lorene Shea, whom she met as a child.
“I don’t know what happened because she was so together,” the tearful Bravolebrity explained. “I mean, even in my will, she was in charge of my children, my money, everything.”
Richards went on to add, “To lose someone like that who is, like, your constant in your life — I never had a falling out with her. She’d be the person I’d talk to about my sisters. I just never imagined that something like this could happen. Never.”
Though Kyle and her sisters — Kathy Hilton and Kim Richards — seem to be in a better place these days, the past year was a particularly tumultuous one for the historically rocky siblings.
Amid her various personal struggles, Richards began cozying up to sober country music star Morgan Wade and made the decision to stop drinking herself.
