He’ll support Taylor “Evermore.”
Travis Kelce stepped out in a lumberjack-style outfit with girlfriend Taylor Swift after the Kansas Chiefs played the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium — and fans are convinced he was sending a message with the plaid outwear he wore both before and after the game.
After a crushing defeat, the NFL tight end, 34, swapped his Chiefs uniform for a plaid corduroy jacket ($2,195) from The Elder Statesman as he held hands with the “Cruel Summer” singer, 33, wearing the look with a green knit beanie and khaki pants.
Plenty of social media users are convinced that Kelce’s ensemble was a nod to Swift’s album “Evermore,” which celebrated the third anniversary of its release Monday.
On the cover of the 2020 album, the “Shake it Off” singer stands with her back to the camera while wearing a plaid shacket in shades of brown and orange, giving off a similar vibe as Kelce’s Sunday night look.
“travis kelce is a evermore stan /confirm/ied” one fan wrote on Twitter along with two photos of the “New Heights” podcast host, with another chiming in with “On the third birthday aswellll.”
“evermore (travis kelce’s version)” a third Twitter joked, sharing a mocked-up version of an album cover with Kelce Photoshopped into Swift’s place.
“Evermore codes for the 3 year anniversary of evermore!” another Swiftie tweeted.
As for Swift, she sported a $250 vintage black-and-red Chiefs sweatshirt from Kansas City boutique Westside Storey along with a short black skirt and tall leather boots ($500) from Larroudé for the game.
She removed the sweatshirt, revealing a black sparkling top after the game as she exited with Kelce.
Along with “Evermore” marking a special birthday today, the “Lavender Haze” singer will be celebrating another milestone this week when she turns 34 on Wednesday — and according to a new report, Kelce has something special in the works.
“He’s arranged a very intimate, romantic dinner just for the two of them, and is also trying to pull off a semi-surprise party with the help of some of her closest friends,” an inside source told the Life & Style.
Perhaps they can light another candle for “Evermore,” too.
