Troye Sivan dresses in drag in the music video for his new single, “One of Your Girls,” off his third studio album, “Something to Give Each Other,” both of which were released Friday.
The Australian singer, 28, looks unrecognizable as he transforms into a long-haired blonde in a variety of costumes, from a short white dress with knee-high boots and lace gloves to a black negligee.
The video also stars actor and musician Ross Lynch, who goes shirtless while a Britney Spears-like Sivan seduces and ultimately straddles him.
Fans were quick to praise the “Bloom” crooner for fearlessly pushing boundaries with his YSL Beauty-sponsored visual.
“Can we just acknowledge how gorgeous he is, in and out of drag! Those piercing blue eyes!” one viewer commented on YouTube.
“Troye did it sooo seamlessly! I didn’t recognize it was him in drag! What a great performance! Amazing! We want more from her drag persona!” another raved.
“The way my jaw DROPPED TO THE FLOOR seeing how GORGEOUS Troye is in drag!” a third fan wrote.
“Now this is the future,” one more commented.
Sivan, who came out as gay in 2013, told the Guardian earlier this week that “One of Your Girls” is about “experiences that [he] had with guys who had not previously been with guys and were showing [him] interest.”
The lyrics to the chorus include, “Give me a call if you ever get lonely / I’ll be like one of your girls or your homies / Say what you want, and I’ll keep it a secret / You get the key to my heart, and I need it.”
“Something to Give Each Other” also features the “Idol” actor’s acclaimed song “Rush.”
