Joe Jonas has a solo album on the way — and it’s his “most personal music” yet.
The singer made the announcement on the “Therapuss” podcast Thursday, one month after teasing his “Work It Out” single on social media.
Jonas, 34, explained that he was working on a song when he realized he wanted it for himself — not the Jonas Brothers or DNCE.

“I was like, ‘I don’t know what it’s for, but I know I want to work on something. I feel, like, the pull emotionally to work on music,'” he recalled.
Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas gave their blessing, urging their sibling to “go for it” while they worked on Season 3 of “Claim to Fame” and a movie, respectively.
“So I had the window of time, and I locked myself away,” Joe explained. “We made an album in two to three weeks. I’m just really excited. It’s the most personal music I have ever put out.”
While the “Cake by the Ocean” crooner did not share the record’s release date, he clarified it will be out later this year and revealed the title to host Jake Shane while covering his mouth from viewers.
The project will include “some real beautiful ballads,” as well as “songs about being a dad” and “songs about love.”
Joe noted that the album consists of “kind of everything,” including “songs about being better to yourself” — like its first single, “Work It Out.”
The “Camp Rock” star revealed lyrics from one of the song’s verses in a May TikTok video, seemingly alluding to his and Sophie Turner’s divorce.
“Come on, Joe, you got so much more to be grateful for,” he sang. “Stop being sad because you’re making the room uncomfortable / OK I get it / I know you’re feeling so miserable / Sometimes I wish I had powers to be invisible.”
Joe continued, “Even baddies get saddies, and that’s the hardest truth / Called your mommy and daddy, they don’t know what to do.”
In the chorus, which he played on “Therapuss,” Joe urged listeners to “wake up” because “tomorrow is now.”
He crooned, “Get up, what are you whining about? / Nobody’s gonna save you now / Nobody’s gonna pull you out / Brush your shoulders off / Life’s gonna work it out.”
News broke in September 2023 that Joe had filed for divorce from Turner, 28, after four years of marriage.
The former couple wed in Las Vegas in May 2019 and welcomed daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 2, during their time together.
The “Game of Thrones” alum broke her silence on their split in a May British Vogue interview, saying she is “unhappy with the way everything played out” but doing her “best” to co-parent.
Turner, who has moved on with aristocrat Peregrine Pearson, called her ex “a great father to [their] children.”
Since their split, Jonas briefly dated model Stormi Bree and was photographed getting cozy with actress Laila Abdallah last month.
