Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker conceived their baby naturally after months of failed fertility treatments, the 44-year-old reality star /confirm/ied.
“It arrived when both Travis and I no longer even thought about it, and when I had stopped fertility treatment,” the Poosh creator said in her Vanity Fair Italy cover story, published Friday.
Kardashian — who revealed her pregnancy in June –called it “God’s plan” for her and husband Travis Barker.
She further noted that online comments doubting the natural pregnancy “don’t affect” her.
“To those who make them, I just say: ‘How could you question God’s plan?'” she said. “Because that’s how I see this pregnancy.”
The “Kardashians” star and Barker, 47, began pursuing in vitro fertilization before tying the knot in 2022.
“I was pushed towards [IVF] as if it were the only option,” the Hulu personality explained. “The truth is, I felt like I was doing something that wasn’t right for me.”
“My intuition was telling me that it wasn’t suitable for me — I don’t even take medicine, imagine — that it was working against my body rather than for it,” she continued. “I knew deep down that it wasn’t the right thing.”
The Lemme creator, who already shares Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, 8, with ex Scott Disick, revealed in a May episode of her family’s show that she and the Blink-182 rocker were “officially done” with IVF.
She told the magazine that once they “stopped forcing the process … it happened.”
The couple went public with their pregnancy news at a June concert amid “many restrictions in the first months.”
Kardashian and Barker, who are known for their heavy PDA, were advised by “a group of doctors” to refrain from sex, as well as workouts, Pilates, caffeine and plane trips.
“I think all this caution made me a little afraid because, in the past, I never had to be so careful,” the expectant star said. “It took me a while to let go of the fear.”
In fact, Kardashian didn’t “stop worrying” until undergoing “terrifying” emergency fetal surgery in September.
“Right after the surgery, I reached the point where I let myself go and I stopped worrying,” she said of the “frightening” experience. “Now I talk to the baby every day, have a positive mindset, keep my head straight, and say a lot of prayers.”
While Kardashian and the rocker “haven’t yet talked about whether and how much to show the baby,” they have dropped hints about possibly naming the little one Rocky.
Barker gushed over the moniker in July, and Kardashian posted — and quickly deleted — a baby shower photo that featured it two months later.
