Kylie Jenner is receiving some backlash after posting – and quickly deleting – her support of Israel following the deadly Hamas attacks that have left hundreds dead.
The reality star shared a post from the pro-Israel account @StandWithUs via her Instagram Story on Saturday.
“Now and always we stand with the people of Israel!” text on the graphic read, overlaying a photo of the Israeli flag.
“SHARE if you stand with the people of Israel as they face one of the most frightening situations in many years,” the post was captioned.
However, Jenner, 26, deleted the post just an hour later after her comments section was flooded with pictures of Palestinian flags and calls for people to unfollow her.
Despite removing the post, the negative comments continued on X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram.
“Wtf @KylieJenner Everyone needs to unfollow #KylieJenner please !!!! #Palestine,” one person wrote.
“#KylieJenner has no ideas what is going on between #Isreal and #Palestine,” read another. “Right now Celebrities should only condemn the war crimes which are happening from both sides.”
A third person argued, “It’s actually way worse that Kylie Jenner just deleted the Israel post. It shows a lack of knowledge and care, she just posted it to be talked about.”
Meanwhile, others expressed concern that Jenner’s post would cause bad blood between her and Bella Hadid — a longtime supporter of Palestine.
“Kylie Jenner supporting Israel when her friend Bella Hadid is Palestinian is crazy,” one critic stated.
“Do these celebrities listen to each other when they talk?” another asked. “Like when Bella Hadid talks about Palestine and being Palestinian does Kylie Jenner know what that means?”
Jenner’s post came just hours after Hamas militants launched an unprecedented attack on Israel on Saturday, firing thousands of rockets and entering Israeli towns near the Gaza Strip. Hundreds of civilians were killed as a result.
“We are at war,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said during a live television address declaring that “the enemy will pay an unprecedented price.”
As of Sunday, Gaza health officials reported at least 230 Palestinians had been killed, with over 1,700 injured. Terrifying scenes have begun to emerge from the conflict, as seen in The Post’s live coverage.
Jenner has yet to address why she deleted her initial post and has been quiet on social media ever since.
