On Tuesdays she wears pink.
Selena Gomez rocked a bright Barbiecore look at the Universal Music Group and Thrive Global’s Music and Health conference on Tuesday, wearing a hot pink corset with a matching trouser suit as she opened up about her mental health at the event.
The “only Murders in the Building” star, 31, wore the colorful outfit as she took part in a frank on-stage discussion with Ariana Huffington and Universal Music Group chairman Sir Lucian Grainge.
She accessorized with sparkling Tiffany & Co link earrings ($17,000) and a $139,000 diamond vine necklace from the brand, adding equally glittery Betsey Johnson heels ($109) with rhinestone floral accents.
Gomez wore her hair in a sleek ponytail for the conference, sporting a matching pink makeup look including rosy lipstick and pastel eyeshadow, presumably from her Rare Beauty brand.
Her bold look is the second jewel-toned, corseted ‘fit she’s worn in recent days, having sported a purple corset dress to a VMAs afterparty last week after stunning in a beaded red gown on the event’s red carpet.
In fact, the “Single Soon” singer has modeled a slew of waist-cinching corsets in recent weeks, making the strapless style her new go-to look.
As for the music and health event, she discussed her 2022 documentary “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me,” which follows the “Love You Like a Love Song” singer over a six-year period, giving a behind-the-scenes look at her life and career, including her struggles with lupus and bipolar disorder.
Per the Hollywood Reporter, Gomez told the audience she “was very against” the idea of filming such a program at first, but she eventually felt “relieved” when the doc was out there, although she’ll “never watch it again.”
“There was a very long period of time where I just didn’t know if it was a good idea,” she said. “I didn’t know if it would jeopardize things in my life.”
“And then the moment it was released…I had no choice at that point,” she said, adding, “I felt like a huge weight was lifted.”
