Rihanna is the “only girl” in her family of four.
The nine-time Grammy winner and her beau, A$AP Rocky, who have been dating since 2020, are the proud parents of two sons: RZA and Riot.
After Rihanna became a mom, her outlook on life changed.
“I’m living for my son. Everything matters now. You really start to take a lot into account,” she said during a February 2023 appearance on the “Process with Nate Burleson” podcast.
“Skydiving?! You really think about stuff like that — it’s not worth it. Everything is different, life before my son seems very obscure. It’s very small and cloudy, it just got better with him. It’s so much hard work but nothing is more fulfilling than that.”
Now, the “Pon de Replay” singer is now a mom of two, after she welcomed her second son in the summer of 2023.

RZA Athelston Mayers
Pvnew broke the news that Rihanna and A$AP — whose real name is Rakim Mayers — were expecting their first child on Jan. 31, 2022. At the time, the Fenty Beauty founder rocked her bare baby bump during an outing in her beau’s hometown of Harlem, N.Y.
The couple went on to welcome their first son in May 2022, and for more than six months, they refused to reveal their child’s name and face.
However, it wasn’t malicious as in November 2022, Rihanna told the Washington Post that she and her beau hadn’t revealed their son’s name because they simply “didn’t get around to it yet.”
“We’ve just been living,” she added. “But I guess there’s a certain freedom that comes with kind of just, like, getting it out there.”
The following month, RZA made his debut in his mom’s very first TikTok video.
“hacked,” she captioned the 45-second clip of her smiling baby boy in his car seat.
The “Umbrella” singer’s baby boy then made his magazine debut when he appeared alongside his famed parents on the cover of the March 2023 issue of British Vogue.
Rihanna told the magazine that she and A$AP do everything they can to protect their son from the paparazzi.
“We get to decide as parents when and how we do that. End of story,” she said at the time, recalling how she’d discovered a photog shooting images of her son during their cover photo shoot.
“Throw me to the wolves. Do what you want with me. But he doesn’t have a say in any of this,” she added. “We’ve been protecting him thus far and you don’t have any consent to be posting photos or selling photos of my child, a minor. Get the hell out of here with that.”
Nearly a year to the day of his birth, the Daily Mail reported that the “Praise the Lord” rapper and the “Rude Boy” singer had named their son RZA.
The infant was named after producer and rapper RZA, the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan.
Three days after news of RZA’s name surfaced, A$AP confirmed the moniker as he sent a special shoutout to his firstborn son on his first birthday.
