Melania Trump was allegedly furious with Donald Trump and wanted him to be shamed for his sex scandal with Stormy Daniels — all while keeping true feelings from the public, a new book claims.
Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham told Katie Rogers for her book, “American Woman: The Transformation of the Modern First Lady, from Hillary Clinton to Jill Biden,” that the former first lady intentionally backed out of an overseas trip amid the controversy to embarrass her husband.
“I think she was pissed at Trump and wanted him to be a little humiliated that she took off,” Grisham, who was traveling with Melania at the time, claimed, according to a copy obtained by People.

Rogers also noted the communications director, 47, allegedly told her, “The First Lady had wanted to communicate her anger to the president.”
Pvnew has reached out to Melania’s rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Daniels, 44, previously accused Donald, 77, of paying her $130,000 in hush money ahead of the 2016 US presidential election in order to silence her about their alleged extramarital affair.

The porn star claimed the real estate mogul cheated on Melania with her a year after he married the Slovenian model and she was expecting their first child together, Barron.
Michael Cohen, an attorney for the Trump Organization, allegedly set up the payment with Daniels.
Donald has since dismissed the allegations as an “extortion plot,” but Cohen, 57, pleaded guilty in 2018 to violating federal campaign laws and was sentenced to three years in federal prison.
In 2020, Melania’s former friend and close advisor, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, leaked audio of the mother of one speaking ill about Daniels.
“[Photographer] Annie Leibovitz shot the porn hooker, and she [Daniels] will be [in] one of the issues, September or October,” she said in the recording.
When Wolkoff, 53, asked, “What do you mean, she shot the ‘porn hooker’?,” the former first lady, also 53, replied, “Stormy.”
Last year, Wolkoff told Pvnew Melania lives in an “ivory tower of denial” and claimed her ex-pal said, “People are just jealous” and “hoped the Stormy Daniels scandal would be swept under the carpet.”
“Her way of coping is to never let her feelings show or affect her. I predict we will see her back at his side at the next social event at Mar-a-Lago.”
Most recently, Melania and Donald were seen displaying a united front at her mother’s funeral.
Pvnew also exclusively learned last December that the socialite plans to step up her public appearances ahead of the 2024 elections to “secure” her husband will “become president again.”
