Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second child’s unusual name has been revealed a month after the singer gave birth.
The “Lift Me Up” hitmaker, 35, and the rapper, 34, have named their son Riot Rose Mayers, according to his birth certificate obtained by the Blast Thursday.
The name could be a subtle nod to A$AP’s track “Riot,” which was released in July and featured Pharrell Williams.
It follows the pair’s naming tradition that favors the letter “R,” as they named their first son, born in May 2022, RZA Athelston Mayers.
The birth certificate reveals Rihanna gave birth on Aug. 1, 2023, at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m — not Aug. 3 as previously reported.
The “Diamonds” songstress opted for a celeb go-to OB-GYN, Thais Aliabadi, who was previously featured on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
Aliabadi also helped deliver Al Pacino and his girlfriend Noor Alfallah’s son, Roman.
In February, Rihanna’s dad, Ronald Fenty, revealed to Pvnew that the new parents had gone through “a few names” for their firstborn.
However, he refused to share the monikers at the time, joking, “She’ll have my head if I tell you!”
The nine-time Grammy winner kept her second pregnancy under wraps until her Super Bowl 2023 halftime show in February.
The Fenty Beauty creator famously kicked off the performance by cradling her budding belly in a red outfit, later confirming that she was expecting baby No. 2.

As for RZA, Rihanna and Rocky — whose real name is Rakim Mayers — have shown their baby boy’s face on social media since welcoming him in May 2022.
The pair later featured their happy baby in an adorable Vogue spread but kept his name a secret until May 2023.
Although Rihanna explained to the Washington Post in November 2022 that she simply never “got around to” divulging those details, she did hint at the moniker for months by wearing clothes honoring producer and rapper RZA, the leader of the Wu-Tang Clan.
It is also a nod to Rocky’s middle name, Athelaston.
Before the pair became parents, Rihanna and Rocky were longtime friends and collaborators whose relationship took a romantic turn in 2020.
