Andy Cohen is apologizing to Brandi Glanville for making an “inappropriate” joke after she accused him of sexual harassment.
“The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi,” he wrote via X, seemingly confirming that the other reality star in question is Glanville’s good pal, “Below Deck” alum Kate Chastain.
“It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke,” the “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” host further claimed.
Still, Cohen admitted his remark was “totally inappropriate.” He concluded, “And I apologize.”
On Thursday, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum claimed in a legal letter via her attorneys that Cohen sent her a video in 2022, further alleging that he appeared “obviously inebriated.”

Per the letter, Cohen allegedly “boasted” in the clip that he wanted to “sleep with another Bravo star” while “thinking” of Glanville, 51, and invited the former “Housewife” to watch him engage in the sexual act via FaceTime.
The identity of the reality star that Cohen, 55, allegedly wanted to get intimate with was not disclosed in the legal letter, though he named Chastain in his X message.
“Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career,” the letter stated in part.
“This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted. It is inconceivable that Mr. Cohen remains in his post in spite of this behavior and harkens back to the bad old days of Matt Lauer and NBC News when profits were prioritized over people.”
The letter from Glanville’s attorneys — written by lawyers Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos — comes after Caroline Manzo’s lawsuit against Bravo.
In it, she accused production companies involved with the network of not protecting her during an alleged sexual assault incident with Glanville while filming “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip” last year in Morocco.
As recently as August 2023, Glanville sang Cohen’s praises in an exclusive interview with Pvnew, claiming that he was a sounding board for her amid the initial fallout she faced from the Manzo ordeal.
“Andy and I have had a ton of conversations because this is the first time I’ve ever dealt with anything like this,” she alleged to Pvnew. “This is new for me and this is scary for me. He’s been very helpful, honestly.
“He’s like, ‘It’s going to be what it’s going to be. Some people are going to probably see it and just say, “That’s Brandi being Brandi,”’” she claimed he told her. “‘Don’t be too hard on yourself.’”
Glanville clarified that Cohen had not taken sides in her conflict with Manzo. “He knows me as a human, he knows Caroline as a human,” she said. “He likes us both.”
