Jared Leto was spotted scaling the side of a random building in New York City while out on a leisurely bike ride over the holiday weekend.
After pulling up to the building on bike Sunday, Leto was photographed taking a step back to assess the structure before making his way up.
The “Morbius” actor tried to find his footing in the stones as he ascended the building’s facade, using the protruding bricks as leverage to pull himself higher.
The 51-year-old appeared focused as he slowly climbed a few feet above the ground before popping back down and peddling away.
Despite the seemingly impromptu climb, Leto was dressed for the occasion in a yellow tank top, blue shorts and black Nike running shoes.
This isn’t the first time that the daredevil actor has been photographed climbing up random buildings.
In June, the Oscar winner was spotted making his way up the Hotel De Rome in Berlin, Germany without a harness.
Leto, who wore cargo pants and a black long sleeve, used the hotel’s massive stones to hoist himself up to a dangerous height.
While it was unclear why the “Dallas Buyers Club” star decided to scale the building in the first place, he was seemingly shooting content with influencer Younes Zarou.
While his rumored girlfriend, 27-year-old Thet Thinn, wasn’t present during the climb, the pair were later spotted hitting the streets of Berlin together.
Leto has been an avid rock climber for many years and even made a five-part docuseries about the sport, titled “Great Wide Open,” in 2016.
The actor often posts about his adventures on social media, once revealing that he was moments away from death while climbing in Las Vegas.
“Not to sound dramatic, but this is the day I nearly died,” Leto tweeted alongside a picture of himself and one of the worn cables meant to support him in March 2020. “Took a pretty good fall climbing with @AlexHonnold at Red Rock. Looked up and within seconds the rope was being cut by the rock while I dangled some 600 ft in the air. I remember looking down at the ground below.”
He also shared video of himself taken just moments after the scary incident, in which the out-of-breath actor can be heard yelling, “Holy f–king s—t, holy f–k, it was fraying right at the point.”
“It was a strange moment – less fear, more matter of fact, and slightly melancholy. The adrenaline came after, when I got back on the wall,” he captioned the clip. “But we made it through and lived to see another day. Overall it was actually quite fun. we continued climbing into the night…”
