Pvnew confirmed on Sunday that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are heading for divorce after four years of marriage, which came as a surprise to many.
According to TMZ, the couple — who share two daughters — have been having issues in their marriage for six months.
While some couldn’t believe the news, as Turner and Jonas outwardly seemed to be in marital heaven, others couldn’t help but notice possible signs pointing to recent trouble in paradise for the 34-year-old Jonas Brothers crooner and the 27-year-old “Game of Thrones” alum.
We’ve gathered all of the clues noticed by the duo’s followers, including concert absences and an odd lack of jewelry, that could have predicted a potential split.
They sold their Miami mansion
Jonas and Turner sold their Miami pad — which they purchased for $11 million in 2021 — in early August for a whopping $15 million.
However, this was significantly less than what the pair originally hoped to make on the sale when they originally put it on the market in 2022 for just shy of $17 million.
It is unclear what prompted the musician and actress to offload the 10,414-square-foot estate, which boasted six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, or where they had been living after the sale.
What you need to know about Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's split
Joe Jonas filed for divorce from wife Sophie Turner on Sept. 5, 2023, after four years of marriage.
The couple have two children together.
A source claims the pair had “many disagreements,” and the divorce was a “last resort” for Jonas.
Jonas is seeking “shared parental responsibility” with his estranged wife.
The children are said to live primarily with Jonas, and the singer is said to be caring for them “pretty much all the time.”
Turner’s penchant for partying is believed to have factored into the split, and a source said the pair have “very different lifestyles.”
Turner is suing Jonas to return their two daughters to England.
The actress claims she found out her estranged husband filed for divorce “through the media.“
Jonas blasted the lawsuit, saying it goes against an “amicable co-parenting setup.”
Turner stopped attending Jonas Brothers shows
The “Dark Phoenix” star attended opening night of the Jonas Brothers’ “Five Albums. One Night” tour at Yankee Stadium on Aug. 12, but has not been seen at any of the band’s tour stops since.
It did not appear that anything was wrong as Turner jammed out in the VIP section alongside Nick Jonas’ wife, Priyanka Chopra, and Kevin Jonas’ wife, Danielle Jonas, as the musical brothers kicked off the world tour.
In fact, Turner’s excitement was palpable as she danced while Chopra wiped away happy tears while watching the band command attention at the famed baseball stadium.
However, Turner did not attend the JoBros’ show the following night, which was attended by both Chopra and Danielle, or any of the subsequent tour stops.
Jonas ditched his wedding band
Joe has opted to play his most recent concerts without his wedding band, something out of the ordinary for the “Burnin’ Up” crooner, who wore the special jewelry item at the start of the tour.
The DNCE frontman was last seen on stage with his ring during the Jonas Brothers’ concert in Chicago on Aug. 25.
Two days later, the musician’s left hand was noticeably devoid of a ring during their performance in St. Louis, Mo. He also did not wear it at either the JoBros’ show in Dallas on Aug. 30, or St. Paul, Minn., on Sept. 1.
However, fans did notice him wearing his ring in a post uploaded to the band’s Instagram page on Saturday.
It is unclear whether the photo was old, or if Joe put it back on in attempt to quell rumors of a split.
Joe reportedly started shopping for divorce lawyers
TMZ reported Sunday that the former Disney Channel had his team meet with two Los Angeles-area divorce lawyers as he and Turner allegedly have had “serious problems” in their relationship for six months.
Multiple sources told the outlet that Joe has been caring for the duo’s two young daughters, born in 2020 and 2022, respectively, “pretty much all of the time,” even while on a world tour.
Reps for both parties have not responded to Pvnew’s request for comment.
