Kanye West is planning to release a new album, a music insider confirms to Pvnew.
“He’s been cooking up in the studio all summer,” the source tells us exclusively. “It sounds crazy.”
While the rapper has yet to formally announce his upcoming project, a source close to him told NBC, which was first to report the news last Friday, that “new music is imminent.”
The outlet also reported that West’s “wife,” Bianca Censori, whom the Grammy winner married in a non-legal ceremony in January, has been present for studio sessions.
This will be West’s first album since “Donda 2,” which he exclusively released on his $200 Stem Player in February 2022 in a snub to physical media and streaming services.
It is unclear whether Ye, 46, will have a more traditional rollout for his next era of music, as the manufacturer of the Stem Player was among the many companies that cut ties with the polarizing star last fall after he repeatedly made antisemitic comments.
West first came under fire in October 2022 when he tweeted about “going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.” Weeks later, he praised Nazi Party leader Adolf Hitler while appearing on a conspiracy theorist’s podcast.
In response, Adidas, Gap, Balenciaga and multiple other brands terminated their working relationships with the fashion designer, resulting in him losing his billionaire status.
However, West has begun entering the spotlight again now that he has a new album on the way.
The outspoken artist performed as a surprise guest during a Travis Scott concert in Rome in August and has since been popping up all over Italy with Censori, who worked as an architectural designer at his company Yeezy.
Most recently, the couple made headlines when West was caught with his pants down on a boat ride through Venice with his partner.
The “Gold Digger” performer was previously married to Kim Kardashian, with whom he shares four children: North, 10, Saint, 7, Chicago, 5, and Psalm, 4.
