Demi Lovato has split from longtime manager Scooter Braun, Pvnew can /confirm/i.
The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer ended her professional relationship with Braun and his company, SB Projects, last month and has yet to find new management.
According to Billboard, which was first to report the news Monday, “conversations” are already “taking place” for who Lovato will sign with next.
We’re told Lovato’s exit came well before a report surfaced claiming Justin Bieber was also leaving SB Projects following his own years-long partnership with Braun.
Reps for both Bieber and Braun confirmed to Pvnew last week, however, that the rumors were not true.
Pvnew has reached out to reps for Braun and Lovato for comment regarding the latest news.
Despite Lovato’s departure, she and Braun, 42, are seemingly still on good terms as the famous music manager posted a message to celebrate her birthday on Aug. 20.
“Happy Birthday to one of the kindest souls out there,” he wrote via his Instagram Story. “Happy Bday @ddlovato!!”
The Disney Channel alum, 31, began working with the talent manager in 2019 as she prepared to relaunch her music career after her near-fatal overdose in 2018.
However, he was initially hesitant about taking the pop star on as a client.
“We had a plan for not only how we were going to say no, but who we were going to recommend,” he said in Lovato’s 2021 YouTube docuseries, “Dancing With the Devil.”
But Braun eventually changed his tune after meeting with the “Give Your Heart a Break” songstress.
“She didn’t need a manager, she needed a friend,” he explained. “She needed someone who knew what to do, but didn’t need her to work.”
Lovato released two albums during her time with Braun and SB Projects: 2021’s “Dancing with the Devil… the Art of Starting Over” and last year’s “Holy Fvck.”
Their split comes as she prepares to release her new album, “Revamped,” which will feature rock versions of her classic pop hits, including “Cool for the Summer,” “Heart Attack” and “Confident.”
The album is set to debut on Sept. 15.
Meanwhile, Braun still maintains a roster of high-profile clients including Bieber, Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly, Ashley Graham, Dan + Shay and Carly Rae Jepsen.
