Ambyr Childers revealed she’s been having a “really difficult time” co-parenting with her ex-husband, Randall Emmett.
“We have different parenting ways and you go through leaps and valleys,” she told the Daily Mail in an interview published Sunday. “Some months are really good and some months are really, really bad.”
The “You” star — who shares daughters London, 12, and Rylee, 9, with Emmett — went on to say that their two children will always be her priority.
“I’ve had a really difficult time co-parenting, but I’m not going to give up. I’m going to continue to work on the relationship and to do what’s best because it’s for my kids,” Childers said.
“My kids will always come first, and with that in mind it makes co-parenting a lot easier.”
The actress, 35, and the film producer, 52, finalized their divorce in December 2017 after eight years of marriage.
“Sometimes I just explain to my kids that two homes are sometimes better than one, right?” she told the outlet of their 50/50 custody arrangement.
“That’s been the hardest part for me — knowing how to protect my kids but also to teach them how people should treat other people,” the mom of two added. “Teach them that if you just lead with love and kindness and respect, that’s all we need. That’s all we need in the world. But some people don’t get that.”
Childers’ comments come about six months after Pvnew confirmed that her temporary restraining order against her ex-husband had been dismissed.
“As stated on the record in court this morning by attorney Heather Patrick, Ambyr and Randall have settled their differences, and Ambyr’s request for a restraining order has been dismissed,” a rep for Emmett told us at the time.
“Randall is glad this matter is resolved and behind him,” the spokesperson added.
The actress had previously been seeking sole legal and physical custody of their two daughters after claiming in a court filing that the “Irishman” producer was under investigation by FBI for alleged pedophilia.
Emmett vehemently denied the allegations in a statement to Pvnew in January.
“I am not being investigated by the FBI nor anyone else, and the notion that I am is beyond absurd,” he said.
“Anyone can say whatever they want in a pleading; that doesn’t make it true. There is zero evidence that I’m being investigated for anything, and we still share 50/50 custody of our children. I am shocked and in utter disbelief that Ambyr would even hint at something so disgusting and untrue.”
Meanwhile, Emmett is currently embroiled in a custody battle with ex-fiancée Lala Kent over their 2-year-old daughter, Ocean.
The pair split in October 2021 after the “Vanderpump Rules” star accused the filmmaker of infidelity.
Kent, 32, tearfully addressed the legal proceedings during an interview with “Nightline” in May.
“If I would have known who he was, who he is … I most certainly wouldn’t have brought an innocent little baby into the world [with him],” she said.
