Billie Eilish took a moment to pay tribute to Angus Cloud during her headlining set at Lollapalooza Thursday night.
Toward the end of her show on the T-Mobile stage at Grant Park in Chicago, the singer belted out “Never Felt So Alone,” her song with Labrinth that was featured in the second season of “Euphoria.”
“RIP Angus Cloud everybody,” Eilish, 21, said after the song wrapped, as the crowd erupted into cheers.
Cloud was best known for portraying the beloved Fezco aka “Fez” in the hit HBO drama series also starring Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow and more.
The actor tragically died at his family’s home in Oakland, Calif., earlier this week at the age of 25.
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways,” his family said in a statement Monday.
“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”
The family noted that Cloud was “intensely” struggling with the recent loss of his father, who died two months ago from a brief battle with cancer.
“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend,” they shared.
“Angus was open about his battle with mental health, and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
An official cause of death has yet to be revealed.
As for the rest of Billie’s set Thursday night, the singer – rocking a Michael Jordan Chicago Bulls jersey and her new red ‘do – had the crowd singing (and crying) along to “What Was I Made For?”
The song is featured as the backtrack in a now-viral scene from Greta Gerwig’s massively successful “Barbie” movie starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
Eilish’s set list also included hits like “Everything I Wanted,” “Ocean Eyes,” “Bury a Friend,” “Therefore I Am” and “You Should See Me in a Crown,” along with a special onstage appearance by her music producer brother, Finneas.
Eilish’s appearance at Lollapalooza comes just weeks after she hit the stage with her childhood hero, Hayley Williams, for Paramore’s show at The Forum in Los Angeles.
The two rocked out while singing a rad rendition of the band’s 2009 track “All I Wanted,” which a young-Eilish once performed an aerial routine to – years before she found fame.
