No comments for Candy Spelling.
The actress disabled the comments section on her Instagram posts amid backlash over daughter Tori Spelling and her five children staying in an RV.
When news broke of the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum’s Ventura County, Calif., living situation, Candy seemingly ignored the headlines by sharing a shot of her “blooming” rose garden.
While many of the 77-year-old’s followers labeled her “shameful” and “selfish” in the comments, the scathing remarks are no longer visible.
The social media upload, however, remains up.
Before Candy turned off the comments, one user pointed out, “You say in your profile that you’re a grandmother. Get them out of that RV and into a home.”
Another wrote, “Help your daughter and grandchildren, you selfish woman. How dare you risk the lives of your daughter and grandchildren when you can provide safety and shelter.”
Reps for Tori and Candy did not respond to Pvnew’s requests for comment at the time.
We subsequently reported that the theater producer did find a house for Tori to move into, but the “Tori & Dean” alum refused because she “wanted to live in a certain place.”
A source told us, “Candy spent hours on the phone trying to find [a house]. … [It] is fine, they should live where they want to live.”
Tori, who is reportedly “struggling monetarily,” has been spotted staying at friends’ houses and a cheap Los Angeles motel after being forced out of her home due to a severe mold infestation.
The former reality star is also in the middle of divorcing estranged husband Dean McDermott, with whom she shares Liam, 16, Stella, 15, Hattie, 11, Finn, 10, and Beau, 6.
Tori defended her parenting choices in a Target parking lot interview with a paparazzo earlier this month, asking, “Are you a parent? You know you would do whatever you can for your kids, right?”
When Candy was recently questioned by TMZ, she confirmed she “of course” would “financially” support Tori amid her split and planned to “always be there for her.”
Notably, Candy reportedly inherited $600 million when her husband, Aaron Spelling, died in 2006. Tori and brother Ryan Spelling were bequeathed $800,000 at the time.
Candy has had a strained relationship with Tori over the years, although they were pictured spending time together in September 2022 for the first time in five years.
Tori gushed over her “good relationship” with Candy the following month, calling it “next level” during a SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” interview.
At the time, she credited their mutual friend, “Million Dollar Listing” alum Josh Flagg, with bringing them back together.
